The new soldier is confident and determined to win 3 good explosions.

To better serve the content of the new soldier training completion test (CSM), this year, all units were organized by the Military Region to visit, exchange, and learn from training experiences, thereby applying them to practice at the unit, creating unity throughout the Military Region. In particular, the Military Region 1 Command sent working groups directly to the units to promptly advise, direct, and guide them to do well all aspects of organization, preparation, and practice according to the trained procedures. The units developed a plan to organize the CSM to practice "3 explosions" to ensure strictness, quality, efficiency, and safety as the main focus. To help CSM get used to the explosions, the units organized the "3 explosions" practice for 100% of the staff from squad leader and above. CSM were directly visited and learned from experiences, so that they could enter the test with a calm and confident mentality, strictly following the training ground discipline and safety principles when performing tasks.

Unlike other days, today the officers and soldiers of Regiment 246, Division 346 were present at the training ground very early to prepare. Despite the hot and humid weather, it did not diminish the competitive spirit and determination of the young soldiers. The training ground was filled with flags, flowers, and slogans with the words "Steadfast courage, clear aim, gently pull the trigger, finish the shot" creating a vibrant atmosphere, adding motivation and spirit for the CSM to compete for "good shooting flowers".

As one of the soldiers who achieved good results in the AK submachine gun shooting category, Private Nguyen Dinh Ton, Platoon 3, Company 1, Battalion 1, Regiment 246, excitedly shared: “AK submachine gun shooting is the most difficult category, because the kneeling and standing shooting positions often make the gun unstable, leading to the gun face being tilted. To achieve today's achievements, I always adhere to the aiming line that was carefully instructed by the officers during the training process, as well as practice shooting live ammunition. During the test, I kept a calm mind, took the correct aiming line, kept the gun balanced, held my breath, and gradually pulled the trigger until the shot was finished.”

Lieutenant Colonel Ly Thanh Lai, Political Commissar of Regiment 246, excitedly said: “The unit focuses on doing a good job of education , raising awareness, determining determination, combining training with physical training, building courage, creating a strong mentality for CSM, and at the same time, doing a good job of cheering on the training ground and motivating the troops. Before practicing the "3 explosions" test, the unit organized segmented and combined firing so that CSM could get used to the explosions and improve the results. The regiment's cadres were thoroughly trained in the tasks of guiding fire, leading attacks, and leading throws to unify commands, actions, and methods of operation, maintaining the troops practicing the "3 explosions", ready to handle situations that arise on the training ground, and successfully completing the inspection task."

Thanks to good preparation and effective training measures, the CSMs of Regiment 246 confidently practiced the "3 explosions" with quite high and consistent results. In particular, the results of shooting AK submachine gun lesson 1 were more than 70% good and excellent; grenade throwing was 88% good and excellent; explosives use was 99.4% excellent, the unit ensured safety.

As the main division with enough troops of Military Region 1, managing and training thousands of CSM, to complete the task well, the Party Committee and Command of Division 3 require the CSM training staff to always be close to the troops, wholeheartedly guide, correct, and promptly correct mistakes. In particular, focus on training the spirit and strong mentality when practicing "3 explosions", at the same time pay attention to motivating, encouraging, and creating a competitive atmosphere to win "3 explosions" well for CSM.

Present at the grenade throwing command bunker on the training ground of Regiment 2, Division 3, observing through the screen connected to the camera placed at the grenade throwing practice position, we noticed that every action of the soldiers, from waiting in line, receiving grenades, hiding in the A-shaped bunker, to moving to the throwing position, practicing throwing... were all guaranteed to be accurate and in accordance with safety rules.

After skillfully and accurately performing the movements of mounting, wrapping, maneuvering to place explosives, setting off fire, and destroying the target, Private Ta Van Quang, CSM Platoon 6, Company 10, Battalion 3, Regiment 2, excitedly said: "During the 3 months of training, we were closely followed by squad and platoon officers, guiding each key point and movement. This is a source of motivation that helps us stay calm, confident, master the weapons, and practice the "3 explosions" test with high results."

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Cuong, Deputy Regiment Commander and Chief of Staff of Regiment 2, said: “The Party Committee and the Regiment Command have many policies and solutions to lead and direct the organization of CSM training with the motto of “basic, practical, solid”. The unit mobilizes and strengthens experienced officers to manage and train CSM, at the same time, regularly disseminates, guides, and unifies to all officers and soldiers about safety assurance during training. In particular, the installation and connection of cameras to monitor the “3 explosions” testing locations via the screen has promoted the effectiveness of management and correction of officers at all levels and created confidence for CSM when performing postures and movements during the practice test. With the above measures and methods, the unit achieved good results in grenade throwing, explosives; AK submachine gun shooting lesson 1 had 85% of good and excellent results, ensuring absolute safety for people and weapons and equipment”.

Overcoming difficulties in hot weather conditions, with high determination, CSMs of units in the entire Military Region have completed the "3 explosions" test. The knowledge gained from basic training, especially shooting techniques, grenade throwing and explosives, is the luggage that helps CSMs confidently complete assigned tasks in the coming time.
