Dismissed female officer of Quang Binh Provincial People's Court 'on leave to travel to the US'

On March 4, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuyen - Chief Justice of Quang Binh Provincial People's Court, said that he had just processed the resignation request from Ms. PTMNg's family, according to the personal wishes of this female officer.

Ms. Ng. is an officer of the Department of Personnel Organization, Inspection and Emulation and Commendation - Quang Binh Provincial People's Court. Previously, in November 2023, Ms. Ng. submitted an application for annual leave to the Quang Binh Provincial People's Court. This unit reported to the Supreme People's Court and was approved for Ms. Ng. to take annual leave within the prescribed time limit.

In the application, Ms. Ng. asked the head of the unit and the People's Court of Quang Binh province for 12 days of leave to travel to the US to visit relatives. However, after the leave period ended, Ms. Ng. did not return to her work unit, nor did she ask permission from the agency but stayed in the US.

Afterwards, her family represented Ms. Ng. to the People's Court of Quang Binh province to submit her resignation letter. After reviewing and comparing the regulations, the People's Court of Quang Binh province reported the matter to the Supreme People's Court and at the same time resolved to let Ms. PTMNg. resign according to her personal wishes in accordance with her authority.

" According to the procedure, the unit reported to the Supreme People's Court, then resolved to terminate Ms. Ng's employment in accordance with the law," Mr. Tuyen explained.
