President Vo Van Thuong and President of the Cuban National Assembly met in Hanoi

On September 24, at the invitation of the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam, Politburo member and President of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez arrived in Hanoi , starting his visit to Vietnam from September 24-28. The President of the National Assembly of Cuba will represent the leaders of the Party and State of Cuba to attend the ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of Cuban leader Fidel Castro's visit to the liberated zone of South Vietnam (September 1973 - September 2023).

During his visit to Vietnam, the President of the Cuban National Assembly will attend events in Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces. Accordingly, Mr. Esteban Lazo Hernandez will lay flowers at the Fidel Castro monument, visit the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital and meet with leaders of Quang Binh province.

In Quang Tri province, Mr. Esteban Lazo Hernandez will visit Hien Luong bridge, Hien Luong - Ben Hai National Special Relic Site Museum; visit the Relic Site of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of South Vietnam in Cam Lo district; offer flowers and plant souvenir trees at Fidel Park. The President of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba will join Politburo member, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Truong Thi Mai to attend the rally commemorating the 50th anniversary of the visit of Leader Fidel Castro to the liberated zone of South Vietnam. The ceremony will take place on September 26, chaired by the People's Committee of Quang Tri province in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam.
