Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Hiep was dismissed from his position.

On May 28, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed a decision approving the results of the dismissal from the position of Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The decision clearly states that it approves the results of the dismissal of Mr. Tran Van Hiep from the position of Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term because the Secretariat has decided to discipline him by expelling him from the Party.

The Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation, May 28.

Previously, on April 19, at the 14th session of the 10th Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, Mr. Tran Van Hiep was dismissed from his position as a delegate of the 10th People's Council and from his position as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The reason is that Mr. Tran Van Hiep violated the law, was prosecuted, and temporarily detained to investigate and clarify the acts of abusing his position and power while performing official duties and receiving bribes in January 2024.
