'No one has ever called me a mobile vase'

Occupy is a Vietnamese film project that is receiving a lot of attention at the moment. Besides the main cast of Miu Le and Phuong Anh Dao, the appearance of Miss Luong Thuy Linh in the film also makes the audience especially curious.

In an interview with VTC News, Miss World Vietnam 2019 shared her thoughts about her first time acting in a movie.

- How does Luong Thuy Linh feel when her first movie has been released?

Anything that is the first always brings special emotions. I am feeling excited waiting for the audience's reaction. I hope the audience will have positive feedback.

Since the trailer was released, I have also read many comments from the audience. They are also curious about what Luong Thuy Linh will do in this first film. I am very happy that the first step has been well received by the audience.

Besides, I also learned many lessons. Taking an acting course is necessary, but real-life experiences like this will help me a lot in my career path, if I want to become an actor in the future.

- The director said Luong Thuy Linh's role was not a casting but was "tailor-made"?

According to the script, the director wanted to choose a girl from the North and she was quite suitable for the other actors. I was lucky to be entrusted with this role so that I could try my hand.

- Does that mean Luong Thuy Linh and the character in the movie have many similarities?

Before accepting the role, I read the entire script, including the female lead roles. However, in the end, I was assigned the role of Nhu. I think I have something similar to this character, it's just that I'm not the daughter of a tycoon, rich and hot-tempered like that.

This girl has similarities with me in strength, confidence and always wanting to prove herself. In addition, we both love fashion .

Many people think that this will be a villain role, however I think she is simply a girl with a strong personality. So the way she expresses her emotions will be a bit fierce.

- Suppose you were given one of the two female lead roles, would Luong Thuy Linh dare to accept?

I think the main role in each film is always the most important and requires a lot of acting experience. If I am lucky enough to be given the main role, I think I need time to hone more skills to be able to take on such an important role. As for me, I act instinctively because I have never attended any acting classes.

With the role of Nhu, although I was not the female lead, I still had 11 scenes. That was also what I wanted to express when I first acted in a movie.

- Filming 11 scenes will definitely bring many memories. For Luong Thuy Linh, what is the most unforgettable thing about this first time filming?

Filming took a long time and took place in many places. However, the most memorable scene was with Phuong Anh Dao. When the two got a little bit injured in a dangerous high-altitude terrain. In real life, I have never been in such a situation. At that time, the crew had to use a lot of equipment to protect the two actors.

That scene also took place at around 2am. I was really scared because I was worried about falling, and also had to portray the character's climax. For me, that was probably the hardest scene to make in the film.

- How do you arrange your time to act in movies, work as a teaching assistant and still participate in entertainment events?

It took me quite a lot of time to participate in this film. I also had to arrange my schedule to fit in with all the other actors. I remember it took more than 2 months to complete all the scenes.

The filming time was also very busy, both filming and running events. After that, I had to go back to school to continue teaching. Although it was difficult to arrange the time, those were very memorable days for me.

- Having never attended any acting classes, did Luong Thuy Linh seek advice from her beauty queen friends like Thuy Tien, Tieu Vy... These are all beauty queens who have some experience in the film industry?

Each of us has different schedules, so I don’t have much time to share with my two friends. However, I think most of the experience I learned is thanks to the director, the actors and the entire crew.

In each scene, everyone tried to help me to express all the emotions of the character. Sometimes just one line but different emphasis will become a different emotion.

I found it very enjoyable to feel like the actors were playing with their characters.

- However, up to now, people have always had a negative view of "beautiful actresses". Does Luong Thuy Linh feel pressured by this?

Since the trailer was released, I have seen very positive responses from the audience to my role. As for being called a "mobile vase", no one has said anything yet (laughs).

Making the audience curious about his role is also a small success with the first step into the acting field.

- Does that mean Luong Thuy Linh feels satisfied with her first role?

If I say I'm satisfied with my first role, is that too easy on me? (laughs).

I think I will not let myself be satisfied with what I am doing to have more feelings to try harder. However, I cannot deny that I have tried very hard for this role.

- After finishing your first movie, does Luong Thuy Linh feel that this path is suitable for you?

I think if you want to know if it is suitable or not, you will need to experience more. I am also just an amateur, I have not been to any school. So if you want to determine what is suitable for you, you will need more time and effort to experience.

However, if Luong Thuy Linh enters the film industry, I will definitely have to learn a lot. I hope I will have more time to show the audience more colors of myself as an actress.

- If you act in movies in the future, what kind of role do you want to play?

There are many different types of people and personalities in life. So it's hard to say what kind of role you want to play.

To me, a good actor doesn't choose the role, the role chooses him. No matter what kind of role, he will be able to portray all the emotions of the character.

If I have the opportunity to act in more movies, I will try my best and also hope to try all types of roles.

- Can we call Luong Thuy Linh an actress now?

I was also surprised when during the movie promotion days, I was introduced as Miss and actress Luong Thuy Linh. It sounded so strange! (laughs).

I don’t dare to call myself a professional actor, because I am still an amateur. To be recognized and worthy of this title, I think I will have to try very hard.
