Preparing to open the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 with the theme 'Confession of the River'

The Organizing Committee said that the art program to open the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 includes 3 chapters with the message "Confession of the river: Legend of a river; Converging rivers; New flow of rivers" showing tangible and intangible cultural values, resources and unique tourism products of Vietnam; at the same time, demonstrating the spirit of promoting Hue Festival 2025, the spirit of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Thua Thien Hue (1975-2025) and the rise of Hue City under the Central Government.

This is a special art program, which will be staged grandly and of high artistic quality, with the participation and performances of more than 800 famous actors, singers, artists and the masses, along with international art troupes from China, Korea, Uzbekistan, and Japan.

The opening night also featured many unique and novel activities such as light shows using drone light, electronic water drums, panogama water music, flying dragons, and flying parachutes.

With the theme of "Confession of the River" as the main theme throughout the opening night, the series of performing arts will bring to delegates, audiences and visitors wonderful impressions and feelings about the heroic, sacred, beautiful and culturally rich "Mysterious Capital" land, with friendly, warm and hospitable people.

Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of Hue City Department of Tourism, said that the Opening Ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will take place from 8:10 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. on March 25 at the stage on the Perfume River, in front of Quoc Hoc School. Currently, the locality is urgently completing the stage on the water and the grandstand on the shore with a capacity of about 5,500 seats for the Opening Ceremony. The form of the stage is semi-realistic on the water and on the shore, combined with water screens, visual mapping, floor led, pyrotechnic effects, hot air balloons, paragliding, heavy smoke, sound and light arrangements.

The National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is hosted by Hue city with a series of 75 main activities associated with the Hue Festival four festival seasons: Spring Festival "Ancient Capital Spring", Summer Festival "Shining Imperial City", Autumn Festival "Hue in Autumn", Winter Festival "Hue Winter". This is a typical cultural - economic - social and tourism event of national and international scale combined with Hue Festival 2025, associated with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hue city (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025) and other major holidays and anniversaries of the whole country; responding to and welcoming Hue becoming a centrally-run city.
