The market shook quite strongly during the trading session on the HOSE floor, which suddenly jammed orders and froze the electronic board. The VN-Index increased by nearly 8 points at one point and then turned down by more than 12 points before narrowing the decline at the close of the session, ending the previous 3 consecutive sessions of increase.
The stock market opened the morning session on March 6th, continuing its bullish momentum after three consecutive strong increases, but then turned around and fell sharply due to the large "dumping" pressure from both domestic and foreign investors.
Many investors reported that the afternoon trading session was not able to place buy-sell orders and cancel-change orders on the HOSE floor. Many securities companies also informed their customers about the situation of disconnection, intermittent connection, slow transactions... with the HOSE floor. Due to the order congestion, there were many times when the HOSE floor price board was "frozen", the information on the price board was not updated correctly, causing confusion for investors.
The whole market was in red. Apart from a few stocks that remained green (CTS increased by 3.12%, AGR increased by 1.6%), the rest decreased: VND decreased by 2.13%, SHS decreased by 2.2%, VIX decreased by 2.09%, HCM decreased by 1.55%, ORS decreased by 1.78%, BSI decreased by 1.85%, VDS decreased by 2.86%; SSI, VCI, FTS decreased by nearly 1%.
Banking stocks also fell sharply: STB fell 1.1%, EIB fell 1.37%,ACB fell 1.25%, VPB fell 1.77%, MSB fell 1.27%, TPB fell 1.03%; HDB, CTG, SSB fell nearly 1%.
Similarly, the real estate - construction group also leaned towards red, in which many stocks decreased by more than 2%: DIG decreased by 2.51%, NVL decreased by 2.33%, CEO decreased by 2.22%, PDR decreased by 2.24%, DXG decreased by 2.16%, CII decreased by 2.56%, LCG decreased by 2.53%, HUT decreased by 2.07%, TCH decreased by 2.6%, BCG decreased by 2.58%...
At the end of the trading session, VN-Index fell 7.25 points (0.57%) to 1,262.73 points with 356 stocks falling, 130 stocks rising and 67 stocks remaining unchanged. At the end of the session on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, HNX-Index also fell 1.9 points (0.8%) to 235.45 points with 115 stocks falling, 63 stocks rising and 65 stocks remaining unchanged. Liquidity increased compared to the previous day, with the total trading value on the HOSE floor being nearly VND24,900 billion. Foreign investors also net sold nearly VND161 billion on the HOSE floor.
