Stocks surpass 1,500 points, money rushes into the market

(NLDO) - Cash flow into the stock market exploded in the afternoon session, pulling the VN-Index past the psychological milestone of 1,500 points.

The trading session on July 22 ended in positive green when VN-Index broke out strongly, closing at 1,509 points, up 24.49 points. The VN30 index was even more impressive when it jumped above the 1,655 point mark, up nearly 28 points compared to the previous session. The HNX-Index also maintained its upward momentum, reaching 247.85 points after adding 2.06 points.

Although liquidity was not as high as the previous session, the market still recorded a trading volume of over 1.28 million shares, with the value of the HOSE floor alone reaching over VND33,000 billion, a significant number showing that cash flow has not withdrawn.

However, today's rally was not smooth. As soon as it opened, the VN-Index sank below the 1,480-point mark, the market shook strongly and investor sentiment was challenged.

Many investors, fearing a deep correction, rushed to take profits in the morning session. But surprisingly, a strong reversal signal appeared in the afternoon session, the market recovered quickly and then exploded towards the end of the session, pulling the index past the 1,500-point mark, something that many people did not dare to expect just a few hours before.

This development once again shows that market sentiment is still very sensitive, and making decisions during "shaky" times can easily cause investors to miss opportunities.

Market developments showed that the entry of large stocks created a strong pull for the index. The focus was on Vingroup stocks, such as: VIC jumped nearly 5%, closing at 117,500 VND, while VHM also increased impressively by 3.8%, to 95,500 VND.

No less exciting was the group of securities stocks, where a series of codes recorded ceiling increases such as CTS, VIX, while SHS, VND, TVS, BSI also increased strongly. Cash flow has clearly returned to this sensitive industry group, when expectations for the market's recovery are reinforced.

Along with that, the banking group – which is the leading group – also showed signs of improvement. Eximbank’s EIB stock hit the ceiling price, reaching VND27,150, with an increase of 6.89%. VAB increased even more strongly, up to 7.37%. Many other codes such as HDB and BID also showed impressive resilience, contributing to spreading excitement to the entire market.

However, not all investors were able to "get on board" in time. Mr. Hoang Anh, an individual investor in Ho Chi Minh City, shared that this morning he was recommended to buy securities, retail and real estate stocks but hesitated to buy. When the electronic board opened in the afternoon, the market suddenly rebounded strongly, VN-Index increased by more than 24 points and a series of stocks hit the ceiling.

What does it mean when stocks surpass 1,500 points?

According to VPS Securities Company, the stock market is maintaining a positive upward momentum with the expectation that the VN-Index can head towards the 1,520 point zone. This is considered an opportunity for investors to restructure their portfolios to anticipate the correction in the uptrend.

MBS Securities Company also believes that the market may surpass the peak with more fluctuations, liquidity continues to increase. Cash flow will be strongly differentiated when the first half business results reporting season begins, with the next resistance zone in the range of 1,520 - 1,540 points.
