Meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival for children in the river region of Ca Mau
The highlight was the "Full Moon Festival" stage at Kim Son Primary School. Here, 1,500 children immersed themselves in the bustling festival atmosphere with special performances, lion dances and received meaningful Mid-Autumn gifts. Many young artists performed performances and cheered, bringing joy and memorable memories to the children.
The program continues to affirm its humanistic meaning and spread the spirit of mutual love. With a total budget of more than 1 billion VND, the program has implemented many practical social security activities, demonstrating the deep concern of all levels, sectors and the whole society for the local young generation.
The organizing committee presented more than 1,280 gifts with a total value of more than 640 million VND to policy households, poor households and households in difficult circumstances at 12 locations in 5 communes: Ganh Hao, Dong Hai, An Trach, Long Dien and Tan Thuan.
The province has also implemented child care work with a total budget of nearly 360 million VND. Notably, the coordination between Children's Hospital 1 (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Department of Health of Ca Mau province provided free medical examinations and medicine to 1,500 children at two schools, Kim Son Primary School and Chu Van An (Ganh Hao commune); businesses supported 1,500 meals for the children.
On the same day, in Vinh Hau commune, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Student Association of Ca Mau province coordinated with Vinh Hau C Primary School to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children - Love for the Sea" for more than 200 students. The students participated in a beautiful lantern making contest, listened to stories about the origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Uncle Ho's Mid-Autumn Festival greetings. The organizing committee mobilized and presented 50 gifts to 50 students in difficult circumstances.
Previously, on October 3, in Phu Tan commune, the "For You" project coordinated to organize the program "Moon of Childhood" for more than 80 students in difficult circumstances. The program brought the children many unique experiences, imbued with the traditional colors of Mid-Autumn Festival. The children experienced the folk cultural space with lion dance activities, lantern processions, moonlit feasts and listened to the story of Cuoi and Hang. The activity of releasing flower lanterns to convey wishes left many deep impressions, nurturing faith and hope for a bright future for the children.
Bringing a warm Mid-Autumn Festival to disadvantaged children
On the evening of October 4, at the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House (Xuan Hoa Ward), the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union organized the program "Moonlight of Peace" in 2025, within the framework of the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025.
The program brings children many diverse and unique activities such as displaying trays of offerings, painting, making moon cakes, carrying lanterns... The opening is an art night with a stage full of fairy tale colors, combining tradition and modernity. In addition, children can also enjoy lion dances, vibrant drums and trumpets, songs associated with the Mid-Autumn Festival such as "Thang Cuoi", "Procession of August Lanterns", "Peaceful Moonlight", "Star Lantern" and a children's drama stage with the play "Oh Moon, Oh Moon". The program brings joy to children, spreads the spirit of sharing and kindness in the community, demonstrating the responsibility of the Youth Union and Young Pioneers in caring for and accompanying children.
The Organizing Committee awarded 10 scholarships and hundreds of Mid-Autumn gifts to children in difficult circumstances who strive to study well, contributing to encouraging their spirit to strive in their studies and life.
Nguyen Minh Khang, a 6th grade student at Truong Vinh Ky Primary - Secondary - High School (Tan Son Nhat Ward), shared: “This is the first time I have participated in such a big Mid-Autumn Festival. I am very happy and thank the teachers and uncles for giving me gifts and encouraging me to continue studying. I will try to study hard and become a useful person to help others in the future.”
Ms. Trinh Thi Hien Tran, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council, said that the program “Moonlight of Peace” has sent love, encouragement and hope to the future generation. The gifts are simple but contain feelings, encouragement and new hope, so that students who overcome difficulties can feel the love and sharing of society.
Along with “Moonlight of Peace”, on this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City Children’s House also organized many meaningful activities such as creative lantern making contest, folk game booth, experience corner for making clay figurines, painting statues and children’s products display booth. Many mobile programs were organized in wards, communes and shelters, aiming to bring the joy of Mid-Autumn Festival to children in difficult circumstances.
Attractive full moon festival in Quang Ninh
On the evening of October 4, at Halong Marina Urban Area, Bai Chay Ward (Quang Ninh Province), the first full moon festival ThuFest 2025 took place with the participation of thousands of people and tourists. This is the biggest Mid-Autumn Festival ever with a series of attractive and impressive activities to create a festival space imbued with traditional colors, connect the community and build four-season tourism products.
Coming to the festival space, people and tourists can experience and immerse themselves in the joyful and cozy Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere. The street parade with hundreds of giant lantern model cars decorated with carp, unicorn, dragon, phoenix, lotus and tram cars, double-decker buses... creates a colorful modern version of Mid-Autumn Festival. This is not just a parade performance, but a combination of visual arts, folk culture and carnival spirit, taking the audience through many emotions.
Locals and tourists can also enjoy art shows, street performances, lion and dragon dances and the spectacular Halo Bay Show, combining light and melody, creating a magical scene on the bay. In the festival space, there is also a giant autumn cake weighing 180kg and 1.2m in diameter, a symbol of love and reunion, meticulously crafted by talented artisans.
The festival also has more than 40 booths displaying and decorating mid-autumn products; organizing folk games for children, giving away attractive gifts and many unique check-in points. The high-altitude fireworks show "Shining the Bay of Wonders" also brings exciting experiences to people and tourists.
This special event not only creates a mark for the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival but also contributes to affirming Bai Chay as the cultural and tourist center of Quang Ninh.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province gave gifts to children; teachers and students of Bai Chay ward gave students in areas affected by storm No. 10 more than 220 million VND; Bai Chay ward and Bim Group presented 50 gifts to children who overcame difficulties... Many localities organized Mid-Autumn Festival programs for children in a joyful and bustling atmosphere, thereby spreading the spirit of sharing and humanity in the community.
