Giving more than 1,000 gifts to children in the southwestern border area

On the evening of October 4, at the border commune of Long Chu, Tay Ninh province, local authorities coordinated to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love and Blessings" for more than 1,600 children in the border area.

In the jubilant atmosphere of the festival night, children of Long Chu commune were able to join in the bustling lion dance performances, enjoy the fairy-tale scene of Cuoi and Hang, carry lanterns, and receive meaningful gifts.

The program left many deep emotions with the children and their parents. This is truly a meaningful activity, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and care of the community and local authorities towards children in difficult circumstances, especially children of ethnic minorities in border areas, helping them have a warm Mid-Autumn Festival, full of love.

Dang Manh Hung, a 5B student at Long Phuoc Primary and Secondary School (Long Chu Commune), shared: “I am very happy to participate in the program because we rarely have the opportunity to watch lion dances and receive many Mid-Autumn gifts like today. I will try to study better to not let down my teachers, parents and those who care about us.”

Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang (45 years old, living in Long Giang hamlet) said that his family is a farmer , life is still difficult, so every year they only buy some candy for their children. Thanks to this program, the children can play, receive gifts and feel the love from the community. This is a great source of encouragement for families to have more confidence, continue working, and take care of their children...

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 5 scholarships, each worth 3 million VND, to students in difficult circumstances; 200 gifts to lonely elderly people and 1,600 gifts to children in difficult circumstances, with a total value of more than 472 million VND. The program also included folk games, lantern processions, art performances, etc., creating a vibrant, cohesive and meaningful atmosphere.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, Secretary of the Party Committee of Long Chu Commune, emphasized: “Taking care of children, especially children in difficult circumstances in border areas, is the responsibility of the entire political system and society. The Party Committee of the Commune would like to express its sincere thanks to the cooperation of organizations, businesses, and philanthropists who have accompanied the locality to bring the children a warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival. This is a valuable source of spiritual encouragement, adding more strength for the children to excel in their studies and life.”

Long Chu is a border commune with limited development conditions, so the material and spiritual life of children is not as complete as in urban areas. The locality really needs support to create conditions for comprehensive development for children. In the coming time, the commune will continue to pay attention and coordinate to organize many practical activities to care for children. At the same time, the commune calls on the business community, social organizations, and kind-hearted individuals to join in social security work, contributing to ensuring that all children have the opportunity to develop comprehensively.
