Free medical examination program in Tung Vai border commune

On August 9 and 10, Tuyen Quang Department of Health organized a program of medical examination, treatment and free medicine distribution in Tung Vai commune. Attending were leaders of the Department of Health and People's Committee of Tung Vai commune.

Many people of Tung Vai commune participated in the program.

The program was attended by nearly 20 doctors and medical staff from the following units: Kim Xuyen Regional General Hospital, Quan Ba ​​Regional General Hospital, Ham Yen Regional Medical Center, and Quan Ba ​​Regional Medical Center. Here, people were examined for health, detected, and screened for acute and chronic diseases. At the same time, periodic health management records were established to monitor cardiovascular, respiratory, diabetes, high blood pressure, bone and joint, and dermatological diseases...

On the morning of August 9, many people came to register for medical examination.

The program also included communication activities to provide ethnic minorities with basic knowledge about health care, disease prevention, combating child malnutrition, and raising awareness about expanded immunization, food safety, etc. On this occasion, the Department of Health organized the free distribution of over 1,000 boxes of brain tonics, vitamins, dermatological creams, and nearly 10,000 calcium and iron tablets to the people.

People are instructed to use the medicine in the correct dosage.

The program is a practical activity to concretize the direction of General Secretary To Lam during his working trip to the province on periodic health check-ups and health care for people in border communes. At the same time, it helps people in Tung Vai commune access quality medical services right at the grassroots level, proactively detect and treat chronic and infectious diseases. Thereby improving physical condition, helping the locality achieve the goal of 100% of people having health check-ups at least once a year.
