“Later, when we learned about the climate and soil in Lam Dong , especially in Nam Ha Lam Ha, which is suitable for growing sachi, after careful discussion, my husband and I decided to borrow money and add our own capital to test growing sachi trees. In 2017, my husband and I started working with more than 4 sao of coffee trees that were demolished and completely converted to growing sachi,” said Ms. Xiet.

Sachi tree - a new direction for local people to help increase income

“Currently, my husband and I are using a factory with an area of ​​over ^150m2 , including equipment such as: oil press, dryer, seed scrubber, vacuum cleaner. In addition to purchasing raw products, I also select quality sachi from growers to process finished products from sachi seeds. Currently, my products include Garlic Chili Sachi, Coconut Milk Sachi, Coffee - Cocoa Sachi and especially processed sachi essential oil, providing high nutrition, good for consumers' health from sachi seed products" - Ms. Xiet shared more.

With the effectiveness and uses of sachi seeds, after 3 years of officially building the brand and making finished products from sachi, Ms. Xiet's consumption volume has grown significantly each year.

Per capita income increased

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Ha Lam Ha commune said that recently, the locality has paid attention to guiding and mobilizing people to convert to new crop varieties that bring high productivity and quality. At the same time, applying scientific and technical advances and new technologies to cultivation and animal husbandry.

Up to now, the total area of ​​high-tech, high-quality agricultural production in the whole commune is about 90.2 hectares, accounting for 0.3% of the cultivated land area, an increase of 45 hectares over the same period in 2020.

According to the People's Committee of Nam Ha Lam Ha commune, through projects supported by the State for investment, farmers have provided counterpart funds to build greenhouses, install drip irrigation systems, purchase high-quality seedlings and other agricultural materials. Up to now, the commune has about 3,358.6 hectares of coffee trees, 243 hectares of mulberry trees, 1.5 hectares of tea, 61 hectares of fruit trees, 30.7 hectares of pepper trees, 56 hectares of macadamia mainly intercropped with coffee trees; 90.2 hectares of high-tech vegetables and flowers and 25.6 hectares of rice.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Ha Lam Ha Commune affirmed: "The productivity and quality of crops and livestock are increasingly increased and the average income per capita increases every year. In 2020, the average income per capita reached 54.6 million VND/person, in 2024 it reached 67 million VND/person. After 4 years, the average income per capita of the commune increased by 12.4 million VND (22.71%)".

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhung, in the coming time, the locality will continue to promote the development of high-tech agriculture, smart agriculture, and organic agriculture according to the plan. Establish and manage growing area codes for the commune's key crops. Strive for an average annual economic growth rate of 10-11% in the 2025-2030 period.
