Nam Dinh Club has advantages in the Asian Cup C2
On the afternoon of October 2, Nam Dinh FC faced Eastern FC (Hong Kong) in the second round of Group F - AFC Champions League Two (Asian Cup C2). Before that, the team from the city had a smooth start in the continental arena, when they won 3 points against the representative of Thailand Ratchaburi. On the other hand, Eastern FC suffered a defeat against Gamba Osaka.

In the first half, the two teams created a tight game. In which, Nam Dinh FC created more dangerous opportunities. However, that was not enough for the Vietnamese representative to take the lead. The most dangerous situation created by coach Vu Hong Viet's team came in the 10th minute. After a smooth coordination in the penalty area, Percy Tau's shot hit the Eastern goalkeeper, then Brenner's rebound shot also went wide. The first 45 minutes of play ended without any goals being scored.

It was not until the second half that Nam Dinh's attacking efforts were rewarded. In the 55th minute, Eastern's goalkeeper failed to kick the ball well, Hansen took full advantage of the opportunity and fired a quick shot to bring the opening goal for the team from Thanh Nam.
After conceding the goal, Eastern team rushed to attack in search of an equalizer. The game became more interesting with the two teams exchanging blows. Especially at the end of the match, both teams had good chances to score, but the strikers did not take advantage of them and were unlucky. Nam Dinh club had a situation where the ball hit the post in the 90th minute.
In the end, Nam Dinh FC narrowly won 1-0 against Eastern. The team from the South had 2 consecutive victories in the Asian Cup C2.
