5:00 p.m. on August 1 is the deadline for submitting player registration lists ahead of the 2025-2026 season.
It is also the deadline for Quang Nam FC to see if the team is really qualified to participate. This procedure includes the list of players and the athlete's contract.
If a team does not have the required number of players (about 20 people), it is considered ineligible to participate. Quang Nam Club will find it difficult to gather enough players in this "gasping" situation.
On July 28, after many days of seeking help, Quang Nam Club had a sponsor. Therefore, the team sent a letter confirming their participation and promised to send the competition plan before 5:00 p.m. on July 30.
However, after the above deadline, Quang Nam Club did not have any further response to VPF – the competition organizer and VFF – Vietnam Football Federation. Once again, the Tam Ky home team made everyone worried.
According to VPF, after the deadline for player registration on the afternoon of August 1, if Quang Nam Club does not submit a list, it will be considered ineligible to participate. VPF will report to VFF so that the VFF Disciplinary Board can make a decision.
It is likely that the VFF Disciplinary Board will revoke the right of Quang Nam Club to compete in the 2025-2026 season. The plan to promote a team from the first division to replace Quang Nam Club has been approved by the VFF Executive Board.
If Truong Tuoi Dong Nam Club (formerly Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc ) does not receive promotion and PVF-CAND does not have time to prepare, V-League 2025-2026 may start with 13 teams.
