Vietnamese fans welcome coach Kim Sang Sik and his team to Laos

The Vietnam Football Team has arrived at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane to prepare for the match against the Laos National Team, scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 9, within the framework of Group B of the AFF Cup 2024.

At exactly 11:00 a.m. on December 6, the Vietnam National Football Team arrived at Wattay International Airport in the capital Vientiane to prepare for the match with the Laos National Team, scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 9, within the framework of Group B of the 2024 Southeast Asian Football Championship (AFF Cup 2024).

According to VNA reporters in Laos, before the plane landed, a large number of Vietnamese fans living and working in Laos, including students, dressed in red shirts with yellow stars and holding Vietnamese and Lao flags, and banners with the words "Vietnamese community in Vientiane accompanies the Vietnamese football team to conquer the AFF Cup 2024" were waiting at the arrival hall of Wattay International Airport to welcome coach Kim Sang Sik and his team.

Mr. Ho Sy Phu, a Vietnamese fan in Laos, said that football is the king of sports ; every year when the Vietnamese team comes to Laos, he and his friends organize a cheering group to welcome them from the airport, hoping that coach Kim Sang Sik will have a good style of play, and that the players will devote themselves to this year's tournament. Hopefully, the Vietnamese team will win the championship, and that is also the fans' greatest wish.

The journey was short and the immigration procedures were quick, so the Vietnamese national football team players felt very comfortable when they stepped out into the lobby, being greeted by loud drumbeats and a large crowd of fans. Many players took the opportunity to sign autographs for fans before getting in the car to return to the hotel to rest.

It is expected that on the afternoon of December 6, the Vietnamese team will have its first training session at the auxiliary training ground of the Laos National Stadium before officially embarking on the journey to conquer the AFF Cup 2024 throne./.
