First flight from Poland to Khanh Hoa

On September 26, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan - General Director of Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited said that the company will cooperate with SkyUp Airlines to organize the transportation of tourists from the Polish market to Khanh Hoa in the form of charter flights.

Accordingly, SkyUp Airlines will use Boeing B777-300 wide-body aircraft to operate this route. The frequency is three round trips per month with an expected number of passengers from 500 passengers per flight and over 1,500 passengers per month. Tourists will stay at 3-5 star rated accommodation facilities in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa that meet the requirements and are recognized by the authorities.

There will be more flights bringing European tourists to visit and relax in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

The first flight is expected to depart from Warsaw Airport to Cam Ranh on January 29, 2025. "This is a special flight because it is the first flight from Europe to land at Cam Ranh International Airport," Mr. Tan shared, hoping that this event will contribute to making Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa a friendly and safe destination, promoting the image of tourism and Vietnamese people to international tourists.

Anex Vietnam Company will set up hotlines for tourists, service providers and government agencies in the province to receive and handle incidents related to security and safety for tourists during their stay in Khanh Hoa.

From 2013 to the end of 2019, Anex Tour brought nearly 1.2 million international tourists to Vietnam for vacation. The Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa market alone accounts for more than 60% of this unit's customer market. Exploiting a direct flight from the Polish capital to Cam Ranh will expand the source of European market tourists to Vietnam.

Opportunity to attract European tourists

Poland in particular, or Europe in general, is considered a potential tourist market of Khanh Hoa province. According to statistics from the functional sector, in 2023, Khanh Hoa served about 217 thousand tourists from Europe (accounting for more than 9% of the total number of international visitors to the locality in 2023) and reached more than 400 thousand visitors from Europe out of a total of more than 3.1 million international visitors to Khanh Hoa in the first 8 months of 2024.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism, acknowledged that having a direct flight from Warsaw to Cam Ranh is very convenient for attracting tourists from Poland as well as other countries in the European region to Khanh Hoa. This will contribute to diversifying international visitors, aiming at sustainable tourism development of the province in the coming time.

According to Ms. Thanh, Khanh Hoa tourism has recently had a strong recovery. In the first 9 months of 2024, the whole province welcomed about 9 million overnight guests, an increase of 57.9% over the same period in 2023 (reaching 100% of the 2024 plan). Of which, there were 3.6 million international visitors, an increase of 147.9% over the same period (exceeding 20% ​​of the 2024 plan); 5.4 million domestic visitors, an increase of 27.2% over the same period (reaching 90% of the 2024 plan). Total tourism revenue is estimated at more than 44,138 billion VND, an increase of 61.9% over the same period (exceeding 10% of the 2024 plan).

European tourists expressed their love for Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa because of its beautiful natural scenery and friendly people.

To achieve the above results, from the beginning of 2024, Khanh Hoa tourism industry has made efforts to implement many tourism promotion programs in key markets, coordinate with the aviation industry to organize charter flights and open new routes to facilitate attracting international tourists to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. Along with that, the province also promotes and promotes destinations through tourism and entertainment events held in Nha Trang, focusing on the Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival and the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival that took place in June and July.

“The provincial tourism industry is still making efforts to diversify products, strengthen human resource training, improve service quality, and promote communication and promotion to attract European and international tourists in particular,” Ms. Thanh informed, adding that from now until the end of the year, Khanh Hoa will complete a survey on the spending of domestic and international tourists (including China, Russia, Korea, Japan, Australia and Western Europe) to have orientations on adjusting products to suit tourists’ tastes, thereby developing tourism more sustainably.

Mr. Vo Quang Hoang - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Hotel Association (under Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association), affirmed that Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa's tourism products have long been very popular with European tourists. Many tourists gave very good feedback after going on island tours, visiting tourist areas and spots, expressing their love for Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa because of its beautiful natural scenery, friendly people, and unique tourism products built by businesses.

“Khanh Hoa tourism will focus on attracting tourists with quality services and new products. Currently, resorts are gradually being upgraded to meet the increasing needs of tourists, focusing on green tourism products, nature protection and digital technology applications. Many tourism businesses are also building product packages to serve tourists with different experiences,” said Mr. Hoang.
