Previously, this center predicted that the heat wave would end in the North from August 11 and in the Central region from August 12. But according to the latest update, the heat wave will last and continue on August 13 and 14 in the Northern Delta, Thanh Hoa to Da Nang , and the eastern provinces of Quang Ngai to Dak Lak. The heat wave here will only end on August 15, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has re-evaluated.
In the South, on August 12, there was widespread rain. According to data from the automatic rain gauge system Vrain, from Da Nang to the South and the Central Highlands, at least 15 provinces and cities had moderate rain, with the focus on the South. Of which, Tay Ninh (93mm), Quang Ngai (92.6mm) and Lam Dong (89.4mm) had the highest rainfall.
In the North, on the afternoon of August 12, some places also had localized showers but the main atmosphere was still hot and sunny, with temperatures in Hanoi reaching 35 degrees Celsius, causing a feeling of hotness.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that tonight and tonight, August 12, the Northern region, Central Highlands and Southern regions will still have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, and in some places over 80mm.
At the same time, from Thanh Hoa to Hue and the South Central Coast, there will also be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, and over 70mm in some places.
