Child has average behavior, parents come to home to beat teacher

On May 26, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Nong province said that the unit is investigating and handling the case of a parent who beat a teacher, because he thought that because of her, his child was classified as having average conduct.

According to initial information, on the evening of May 25, Ms. VTKQ (teacher at Le Duan High School, Quang Son Commune, Dak Glong District, Dak Nong Province) was at her private home in Quang Son Commune when Mr. LMD suddenly came to her house, cursed her, and then assaulted her. Mr. D. is the parent of LMQ, a student at Le Duan High School.

Suddenly beaten, Ms. Q. shouted for help and neighbors came over to stop and help. Immediately after, Ms. Q. reported the incident to the authorities.

According to initial assessment, the cause of the incident stemmed from LMQ's average conduct rating; possibly not meeting the requirements to take the entrance exam to some universities.

Before that, in a class, LMQ was disrespectful to Ms. VTKQ, so she wrote a comment in her notebook. That was also one of the reasons why Q. was ranked as having average conduct at the end of the school year.

Regarding the above incident, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province has just issued a document requesting the Provincial Police to investigate and strictly handle the case, and at the same time report to the Provincial People's Committee.
