Announcing the winning works of the national journalism awards on agriculture, farmers and rural areas in 2024

(CLO) On December 2, the Organizing Committee of the 2nd National Press Award on Agriculture , Farmers, and Rural Areas of Vietnam - 2024 officially announced the list of 42 award-winning works.

The 2nd National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers, and Rural Areas of Vietnam - 2024 is directed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, the Central Propaganda Department, the Vietnam Journalists' Association, assigned to Nong thon ngay nay/Dan Viet electronic newspaper in coordination with the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank).

In the final round, the jury consisting of 7 members, journalists and experts, independently scored to select 42 works with the highest scores and best to award prizes with a total prize money of up to 540 million VND. Accordingly, the judging process was carried out very strictly, objectively and scientifically through many rounds and many selection steps.

Specifically, in round 1, the preliminary panel selected 150 excellent works for two sub-committees to conduct preliminary judging. In round 2, the two sub-committees conducted the first independent judging and then cross-judging the second time to select 70 works for the final judging.

In the final round, 7 members independently scored based on the criteria in the Rules. From there, 42 best works were selected for awards, including: 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes, 10 consolation prizes and 20 special prizes.

The 2nd National Press Awards Ceremony on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam in 2024 is expected to be solemnly held at 8:00 p.m. on December 10, 2024 (Tuesday) at the Hanoi Opera House (No. 1 Trang Tien, Hanoi) and broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
