Announcing the Decision to establish the Ly Thuong Kiet Ward Trade Union

On the afternoon of September 23, the Provincial Labor Federation (PPF) held a conference to announce and present the Decision on establishing the Ly Thuong Kiet Ward Labor Union. Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Hai Long, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial PPF; Dinh Van An, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Ly Thuong Kiet Ward People's Council.

Comrade Nguyen Hai Long, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation presented the Decision and flowers to the Ly Thuong Kiet Ward Trade Union.

Comrade Dinh Van An, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Secretary, Chairman of Ly Thuong Kiet Ward People's Council presented flowers to congratulate the ward's Trade Union.

At the conference, representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the Decision to establish the Ly Thuong Kiet Ward Trade Union; Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and leadership positions of the Ly Thuong Kiet Ward Trade Union, term 2023-2028; Decision to transfer the grassroots trade union to be directly under the Ly Thuong Kiet Ward Trade Union.

Ly Thuong Kiet Ward Trade Union was established on September 5, 2025, under the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation. The ward trade union was merged from 53 grassroots trade unions, with 4,191 union members operating in the wards of Tam Chuc, Kim Bang, Nguyen Uy, Le Ho, Ly Thuong Kiet, and Kim Thanh.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Hai Long, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, emphasized: The establishment of the Commune and Ward Trade Union organizations is an important milestone, marking a new development step of the Trade Union organization in the grassroots political system to concretize the policy of the Party, the State and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on streamlining the organizational apparatus according to the 2-level local government model, closely connecting with union members and workers; building a strong Trade Union organization.

To ensure effective operation, the Ly Thuong Kiet Ward Trade Union soon stabilized the organization, built working regulations, assigned specific tasks, did a good job of grasping the situation of union members in the area under its responsibility; cared for, cared for, and protected the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; promoted patriotic emulation movements associated with the local political tasks; built a strong Trade Union organization, focused on developing union members; continued to innovate the content and methods of operation, closely following the goal of focusing on the grassroots for the workers.
