Hai Phong Education Trade Union summarizes emulation movements and trade union activities in the 2023 - 2024 school year, deploys tasks for the 2024 - 2025 school year
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of September 20, at Ngo Quyen High School, Hai Phong Education Trade Union held a conference to summarize the emulation movement and trade union activities of the 2023-2024 school year, deploy tasks for the 2024-2025 school year; at the same time, commend the children of union members and workers with outstanding achievements in the 2023-2024 school year. Attending the conference were representatives of the City Labor Federation; Board of Directors of the Department of Education and Training; Departments and professional offices of the Department of Education and Training; and a large number of officials, teachers, and workers.
Hai Phong currently has 756 educational institutions with a total of 34,517 workers in the industry. In the 2023-2024 school year, taking care of employees is an essential task. The Industry Union Executive Committee has devoted all resources, from cost savings to connecting businesses to implement the "Union member welfare program".
The Industry Union presented 450 gifts to workers with a total value of 500 million 300 thousand VND on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024; presented gifts to teachers and workers of Cat Hai High School with a total cost of 23 million VND; organized visits and presented 30 gifts with a total value of 30 million VND on the occasion of Workers' Month 2024; guided 67 workers in difficult circumstances to borrow capital from the City's Capital Assistance Fund for Workers, Civil Servants, and Poor Workers (CNVCLĐ) with a total cost of 2.8 billion VND; at the same time signed cooperation agreements with a number of units to organize free consultation and health check-ups for 1,500 union members, civil servants, and workers at 32 high schools in the city and 01 Department of Education and Training with a total value of the health check-up package of 1 billion 980 million VND...
Along with that, in order to improve the cultural and spiritual life, take comprehensive care of union members and workers, as well as improve the quality of the team, strengthen discipline and order in schools, the Hai Phong Education Trade Union also focuses on effectively implementing the following tasks: Propagating and educating to improve the quality of the staff and commending typical and advanced examples, building school culture; innovating the content and methods of operation, building a strong union organization; participating in Party building; representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of staff and workers, participating in management; women's work, gender equality and for the advancement of women...
Some activities organized by the City Education Trade Union have created a wide spread influence, receiving the support of employees, such as: Emulation movement "Good worker, Creative worker"; "Teachers in my eyes" contest; "Gala Flowers from chalk"; Cultural and Sports Festival "with the participation of nearly 100 athletes from 31 educational units in the city; Program "Improving the quality of negotiation, signing and effective implementation of collective labor agreements", "Giving Ao Dai - sending love, preserving traditional beauty"...
Speaking at the Conference, Director of the Department of Education and Training Bui Van Kiem acknowledged and commended the contributions of the Trade Union when accompanying the Department of Education and Training to organize many practical and meaningful activities, thereby contributing significantly to the overall achievements of the whole sector in the past school year. The Director of the Department of Education and Training requested that Trade Unions at all levels from the sector to the grassroots, based on the functions, tasks and characteristics of the sector, continue to closely coordinate with the profession, implementing 3 main tasks in the 2024 - 2025 school year: Representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of teachers and staff; continuing to care for the material and spiritual life of cadres and teachers; enhancing the role of supporting state management and school construction.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Emulation Flag to 01 collective with outstanding achievements in the Workers, Civil Servants, Laborers and Trade Union activities in the 2023-2024 school year; 2 collectives and 3 individuals were honored to receive Comprehensive Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In addition, many collectives and individuals were commended and rewarded by the Labor Federation and the City Education Trade Union. In particular, within the framework of the conference, the Trade Union also presented gifts and commended children of employees who overcame difficulties to study well or achieved excellent results in the past school year./.
