On the morning of October 12, in Ha Long City, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company held the launching ceremony of the wind power service vessel CSOV 8720-YN552205.

Delegates performed the ship launching ceremony.

At the ceremony, leaders of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company and representatives of Damen Group successfully launched the wind power service vessel CSOV 8720-YN552205.

Wind power service vessel CSOV 8720-YN552205 has an overall length of 88.6m; design width of 19.7m; height from the engine to the main deck of 8m; height from the bottom to the highest point of the vessel of 43.1m; design water level of 5.3m; total capacity of 6,700 GT; deadweight of 2,000 tons.

The launching took place safely and on time. Ha Long Shipbuilding Company is committed to continuing to complete all construction items, ensuring progress and quality to hand over the ship in accordance with the contract.

In 2022 and 2023, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company signed a contract with Damen Group (Netherlands) to build 8 new CSOV wind power service vessels. In July 2024, the Company continued to sign a contract with Damen Group to build 6 more CSOV wind power service vessels. This good and sustainable cooperation is based on Damen Group's trust in the quality of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company's workmanship and the potential for sustainable development cooperation between the two units.

The launching event of the wind power service vessel CSOV 8720-YN552205 is an important milestone of cooperation, not only for Ha Long Shipbuilding Company and Damen Group but also an affirmation to all customers about quality, cooperation and sustainable development in shipbuilding activities.
