Hoang Anh Gia Lai International Agriculture Joint Stock Company (HAGL Agrico, stock code HNG) has just announced its 2025 audited semi-annual financial report. It is noted that the Company lost an additional VND 61 billion compared to its self-prepared report.
Revenue unchanged, loss increased by 61 billion VND
The reason is that other expenses were recorded at more than VND 130 billion, of which VND 125 billion was the cost of writing off ineffective assets, higher than VND 69.5 billion of depreciation of discontinued assets in the self-made report.
In the first 6 months of 2025, HAGL Agrico recorded net revenue of VND217 billion, up 47% over the same period. The positive point is that the Company no longer sells goods below cost price, gross profit is more than VND42 billion, while in the same period it still lost VND263 billion.
After deducting expenses, HAGL Agrico lost 259 billion VND after tax, down more than 100 billion VND compared to the first half of last year.
According to plan, this year HAGL Agrico expects to have a pre-tax loss of 854 billion VND.
Suspected of continuous operation, what does HAGL Agrico say?
As of June 30, HAGL Agrico had an accumulated loss of VND9,643 billion, short-term debt exceeded short-term assets by more than VND12,955 billion.
"These conditions indicate the existence of a material uncertainty that may cast significant doubt about the Group's ability to continue as a going concern," the auditors emphasized.
Currently, the Company's total financial debt is more than 10,200 billion VND, of which more than 9,300 billion VND is borrowed from Truong Hai Agricultural Joint Stock Company ( Thaco Agri), the largest shareholder and also the main sponsor of HAGL Agrico.
Responding to the auditor's exception, HAGL Agrico said the company is implementing projects to ensure cash flow, restructure debt and work with related parties to handle debt and receive land use right certificates in Laos and Cambodia.
The Company affirms that the report is prepared on the basis of the assumption of continued operation for the next 12 months.
