Preparatory session of the Central Party Congress of the Public Security for the 2025-2030 term

(Dan Tri) - The 8th Congress of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security, term 2025-2030, convened 350 delegates, including 24 ex-officio delegates and 326 delegates from congresses of affiliated party committees.

On the afternoon of October 3, in Hanoi, the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session. General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security chaired the Congress' preparatory session.

Delegates summoned to attend the Congress include 350 delegates (24 ex-officio delegates and 326 delegates elected from congresses of party committees under the Central Public Security Party Committee).

At the preparatory session of the Congress, delegates elected the Presidium, Secretariat, and Qualification Examination Board; approved the Congress's Program and Working Regulations; disseminated the Party's Election Regulations; announced the division of Delegate Groups; and provided guidance on the organization and activities of Delegate Groups attending the Congress.

After an afternoon of urgent work, the preparatory session of the 8th Central Party Congress of the Public Security, term 2025-2030, completed the proposed contents.

To organize the official session of the Congress which will open on the morning of October 4, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized a number of important contents.

According to Minister Luong Tam Quang, the Congress will carry out 3 contents, including: Summarizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 7th Central Party Congress of the Public Security; determining the directions, goals, targets, tasks, solutions and strategic breakthroughs of the Party for the 2025-2030 term; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress; electing delegates to the 14th National Party Congress.

At the same time, the Congress will also focus on discussing and discussing solutions to effectively implement the conclusions of General Secretary To Lam at the working session with the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee on September 8.

Before the preparatory session of the Congress, the Ministry of Public Security held a launching ceremony to support people affected by storm No. 10.
