After months of shortage, EPI vaccine is back in supply

Particularly, 549,164 doses of rotavirus vaccine to prevent acute diarrhea (first time included in the EPI for vaccination of children under 1 year old) are expected to be deployed from the second quarter of this year. The distribution of vaccines ensures timely response to vaccination needs at all commune and ward health stations, especially paying attention to early distribution of hepatitis B vaccine to promptly vaccinate newborns within the first 24 hours after birth.

In the coming time, along with maintaining regular vaccination of EPI vaccines after many months of shortage, the Centers for Disease Control of 63 provinces and cities will also step up the implementation of catch-up vaccination activities for children who have not been fully vaccinated during the vaccine interruption period to improve community immunity for children and women, proactively preventing infectious diseases in the winter - spring. Commune health stations will increase the number of vaccination sessions per month and continue to maintain 50 children per vaccination session to fully comply with vaccination safety procedures.
