Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris' campaign has released its policy platform ahead of a televised debate with her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump.
The new policy platform, titled A New Way Forward, details the economic and foreign policy agenda, as well as the key points of the goals of a Kamala Harris - Tim Waltz administration if elected.
According to this platform, in terms of economy, Ms. Harris's administration is expected to cut taxes for more than 100 million working-class and middle-class Americans, reduce daily living costs through measures such as tax assistance for families with children, low- and middle-income people, credit support of up to 25,000 USD for first-time home buyers, extend the price cap of 35 USD for diabetes drugs (insulin) and the cap of 2,000 USD for medical payments...
The debate between Mr. Donald Trump and Ms. Kamala Harris is scheduled to last 90 minutes, starting at 9 p.m. local time on September 10 (8 a.m. on September 11) at the National Constitution Center (NCC) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Key topics of the debate included the economy, immigration, abortion, Mr. Trump's refusal to concede defeat in the 2020 presidential election, and foreign policy, particularly with ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.
A national poll released by The New York Times and Sienna College on September 8 showed Mr. Trump and Ms. Harris nearly tied or with the former president slightly ahead.
