Ham Thang veterans promote patriotic emulation movements

Attending the congress were comrade Pham Van Long, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Permanent Vice President of the Lam Dong Provincial Veterans Association; comrade Ngo Thi Thanh Phuong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ham Thang Ward Party Committee and 130 delegates representing 510 members of the entire ward.

The Ham Thang Ward Veterans Association was established on the basis of arrangement and merger of 3 units: Ham Thang Commune Veterans Association, Xuan An Ward and Phu Long Town. During the past term, the Association has continuously promoted the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", united, set an example and actively participated in patriotic emulation movements, achieving many outstanding results.

The movement “CCB help each other develop the economy , reduce poverty sustainably” has been widely implemented, contributing to improving the lives of members. The Association has promoted the spirit of self-reliance, self-reliance, supporting members to effectively exploit local potential and strengths, and develop suitable economic models. Thanks to that, up to now, the whole ward has only 4 members belonging to poor households, accounting for 0.78%.

The Association also effectively uses capital entrusted from the Social Policy Bank, with outstanding loans of more than 19.9 billion VND through 11 savings and loan groups, helping many members expand production and stabilize their lives.

Along with that, "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" is associated with the emulation movements "Exemplary war veterans", "Building new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "All people unite to build a cultural life".

The association has launched many practical activities such as environmental sanitation, beautifying village roads and alleys in the neighborhoods of Thang Loi, Thang Hoa, Phu Truong, Phu Cuong with a length of more than 10 km, attracting 276 members to participate. Many branches have effectively maintained the model of "War Veterans in Drug Prevention and Control", contributing to building a civilized and safe life in the community...

In the 2025-2030 term, the Ham Thang Ward Veterans Association sets out 9 main targets, including striving for 100% of the association to achieve "Completing the task" or higher; 98% of members to be exemplary, 98% of member households to achieve the title "Cultural Family"; reducing the rate of poor and near-poor veteran households to 0.39%; continuing to replicate the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" model and eliminating temporary houses for members...

The first Congress launched the Executive Committee of the Veterans Association, term 2025 - 2030

Giving flowers to former Executive Committee members who were not re-elected — Comrade Luong Hoai Vu - Chairman of the Ward Veterans Association presented gifts to the former Executive Committee members who were not re-elected.

The Congress also announced the Decision of the Provincial Veterans Association on appointing the Executive Committee of the Ham Thang Ward Veterans Association for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 25 comrades; appointing the Standing Committee and the delegation to attend the 1st Provincial Veterans Association Congress. Comrade Luong Hoai Vu was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the War Veterans Association of Ham Thang Ward. term 2025–2030.
