VFF recently announced a two-year ban on goalkeeper Nguyen Van Ba from participating in football activities organized by the organization.
Goalkeeper Van Ba was banned from playing for 2 years.
VFF stated that the goalkeeper of Kien Giang Club performed below his ability, distorting the results of the match between Kien Giang and Dong Nai in the 2023 National Second Division on July 30, 2023.
In this match, Dong Nai is in dire need of 3 points to get a ticket to the play-off round to compete for promotion to the First Division.
In the above match, goalkeeper Nguyen Van Ba played below his ability when he continuously made mistakes and contributed to his team's 0-6 loss.
Nguyen Van Ba grew up in SLNA's training center. In 2017, he tried out for the first team and left a strong impression.
After that, the "goalkeeper" born in 2001 was called up to join the U19 Vietnam team to participate in a series of important international tournaments.
Van Ba has good reflexes and the ability to enter and exit properly. Besides, he also has a very good height.
But while he was in the best stage of his career development, the 21-year-old goalkeeper was banned by VFF.
This ban from VFF could very well be the turning point that completely changes Van Ba's career.
Previously, VFF also disciplined goalkeeper Y Eli Nie (U19 Dak Lak ) and 4 players of U19 Binh Dinh for dishonest performance.
