Da Nang merges and establishes 3 new Project Management Boards under the city

Da Nang merged Project Management Boards (PMUs) under the City People's Committee to establish 3 new PMUs and announced the decision to let 2 board directors retire early.

On the morning of January 16, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced the decision to establish the organizational structure and leadership and management staff of the Project Management Boards under the City People's Committee.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Da Nang City decided to establish 3 Project Management Boards on the basis of merging 6 affiliated Project Management Boards.

Da Nang established 3 new Project Management Boards on the basis of merging 6 affiliated Project Management Boards.

Specifically, Da Nang established the Management Board of Projects for Construction Investment of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works in Da Nang on the basis of merging the Management Board of Projects for Construction Investment of Civil and Industrial Works in Da Nang and the Management Board of Projects for Construction Investment of Urban Development Infrastructure in Da Nang.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Nhat, Director of the Management Board of Urban Infrastructure Development Projects in Da Nang, was appointed as Director of the Management Board of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Construction Projects in Da Nang from February 1, 2025.

The new Project Management Board performs the function of investor and directly organizes and manages construction investment projects in the following groups: Civil works, industrial works, technical infrastructure works and works assigned by competent authorities or signed project management contracts with investors who are departments and branches.

Establishment of the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works in Da Nang on the basis of merging the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects for Agricultural Works and Rural Development in Da Nang with the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects for Traffic Works in Da Nang.

The merged Project Management Board will be headed by Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy, Director of Project Management of Traffic Construction Works, from February 1, 2025.

The Management Board of Construction Investment Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works in Da Nang performs the function of investor and directly organizes and manages construction investment projects in the group: traffic works, works serving agriculture and rural development and works assigned by competent authorities or investors are departments and branches that sign project management contracts according to regulations.

Finally, the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects in Da Nang was established on the basis of merging the Management Board of Infrastructure Development Projects in Da Nang Industrial Parks and High-Tech Parks with the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects in Da Nang.

Mr. Le Thanh Hung, Director of the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects, was appointed as Director of the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects in Da Nang from February 1, 2025.

The Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects of Da Nang performs the function of investor and directly organizes and manages construction investment projects using public investment capital in the following groups: national defense and security works; mixed-use functional works and works assigned by competent authorities or manages projects for projects invested by departments and branches under entrustment contracts.

Regarding the organizational structure, the Project Management Boards will have 4 departments including: Organization - Administration Department, Finance - Planning Department, Appraisal Department and Operation - Supervision Department.

The handover and acceptance work for the Project Management Boards to come into operation will be carried out in January 2025. The newly established Project Management Boards after the merger will officially operate from February 1, 2025.

On the same morning, the People's Committee of Da Nang City decided to retire early for Mr. Nguyen Huu Hinh, Director of the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects for Civil and Industrial Works in Da Nang and Mr. Vo Tien Dung, Director of the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects for Agricultural Works and Rural Development in Da Nang.
