Colonel Nguyen Ha Lai, Deputy Director of Da Nang City Police, said that police forces of units and localities will deploy synchronous solutions, proactively grasp the situation early and from afar; improve forecasting capacity and handle it more decisively.
The focus is on fighting to defeat all plots and activities of sabotage and disturbance; firmly protecting internal political security, economic security, cyber security, tourism security, national and religious security; reviewing and advising on timely resolution and stabilization of conflicts, disputes, complaints, strikes and work stoppages, not allowing them to become "hot spots" of security and order.
In particular, in the field of crime prevention and control, strive to reduce at least 8% of social order crimes; the rate of investigation and discovery of cases reaches 80% or more; and effectively handle acts of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and prohibited goods.
The forces will increase closed patrols, especially from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning in complex, crowded areas, in accordance with the spirit of "staying awake so people can sleep, standing guard so people can have fun".
According to comrade Nguyen Duc Dung, Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang City, this is an activity of special importance, clearly demonstrating the spirit and determination in successfully implementing the Resolution of the City Police Party Congress for the new term.
"In the context of the city adjusting its administrative boundaries, the police force has overcome difficulties, promptly improved its organization, closely followed the new area, and deployed its tasks with a resolute, responsible and effective spirit, contributing to stabilizing the situation, strengthening people's trust, and maintaining the image of Da Nang as a "safe and livable city", said Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung, Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang City.
To achieve the goal, comrade Nguyen Duc Dung requested the police force to clearly identify that ensuring security and order is a prerequisite for the sustainable development of Da Nang, towards the goal of no drugs, safe and friendly traffic.
In the new context, the police force needs to strongly shift from a management mindset to a service mindset, taking people as the center, and prioritizing prevention work. Proactively grasp the situation, detect conflicts and risks early, and avoid being passive and surprised.
At the same time, units closely monitor cyberspace, promptly combat and handle bad, toxic and distorted information from hostile and reactionary forces; effectively promote the people's security posture and the people's hearts posture to ensure security early and from afar.
The forces strengthen state management in each field, eliminating the causes and conditions for crime and law violations.
