Recently, the city proposed to renovate the land along the Saigon River, from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge on the Thu Duc City side, to connect the riverside park on the existing Thu Thiem Urban Area side, which has been exploited for nearly a year now.

The land area to be renovated into a park is more than 1.1 km long, 100-120 m wide, with a total area of ​​about 10 hectares, about 2-3 km from Nguyen Hue walking street and Ben Thanh market (District 1). The renovation is expected to be carried out by socialization, completed before the Lunar New Year 2025.

According to Tien Phong, the existing land is natural vegetation, has uneven terrain, gradually sloping towards the Saigon River bank.

According to the plan, the existing road along the Saigon River will be utilized, with running lines created to create a safe corridor for cyclists.

Creative Park has a prime location, facing the Saigon River. After renovation, the park complex will beautify the entire central area of ​​District 1 and the intersection of Thi Nghe Canal and the Saigon River.

Most of the area is covered with dense, lush reeds. This is a contrast to the other side of the Saigon River, where high-rise buildings soar into the sky, and every night, the bright lights reflect on the water, creating a bustling, modern urban scene.

At the foot of Thu Thiem bridge, there are still some dilapidated houses along the river and many boats moored.

The river is currently full of garbage, not ensuring hygiene and beauty of the city. The renovation, beautification, and construction of a riverside park here aims to improve the environment.

After being renovated, this place will be a space for organizing events, outdoor activities, camping, picnics. The area is arranged with lawns, trees, landscape items, drainage system, street lights and decorative lights.
