The model of the Japanese Covered Bridge is crafted at a scale of 1/10 compared to the original structure, with an overall size of 2m in width, 1.6m in height and 0.7m in height. The entire material used to make the model of the Japanese Covered Bridge is pine wood, which is popular and valuable in Japan.

Through the model, the Japanese Covered Bridge relic is simulated completely and accurately from the overall architecture to every detail of the wooden frame structure system in the style of Trinh Chong Tru Doi; tiled roof, roof edge decoration; animal motifs; ke ke, horizontal scrolls creating a handcrafted work with sophisticated techniques and high artistic value.

In addition, the model of the Japanese Covered Bridge is also designed and processed in a layered manner at some locations to help viewers see the internal components and structures to better understand the unique architecture of the Japanese Covered Bridge. In addition, the model can be easily disassembled to facilitate transportation as well as long-term maintenance.

After receiving and completing the assembly, Hoi An Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation Center invested in decorating additional details of parallel horizontal lacquered boards, altars, and interiors inside the model of the Japanese Covered Bridge.

The model of the Japanese Covered Bridge donated by the Institute of International Cultural Studies - Showa Women's University has created a highlight at the Hoi An Museum to serve the sightseeing needs of the people and tourists. Thereby, contributing to promoting and introducing the value and significance of the Japanese Covered Bridge relic and the exchange relationship between Hoi An and Japan in the past, the loyal friendship between Hoi An, Vietnam and Japan.

At the reception ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province to Mr. Sugano Yuichi - Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Office in Vietnam and Ms. Shima Sonoko - Director of the Institute of International Culture Studies - Showa Women's University for their contributions to promoting the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, contributing to supporting the socio-economic development of Quang Nam province.
