Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographers in Ben Tre province

(NADS) - On the morning of December 18, in Ben Tre , the Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ben Tre province for the 2024 - 2029 term took place solemnly. Attending and directing the Congress was Artist Duy Bang, Executive Committee member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in charge of the Mekong Delta region.

Ben Tre Branch currently has 10 members, including 1 female. During the past term, political and ideological work has always been of interest to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ben Tre province and has had certain innovations in content and form. The Executive Committee of the Branch has always promptly disseminated the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. Associated with the "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" widely among all members, creating solidarity, unity and promoting collective strength, effectively serving the political tasks of the province of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

Despite the difficult impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and limited funding, the passion for artistic photography has not dampened the spirit of photographers. Always actively participating in photography activities, recording images of socio- economic development and national defense and security to serve local political work.

Delegates voted to elect the Executive Committee of the Association's Office Branch for the 2024 - 2029 term.

Regarding the results of photography activities, Ben Tre Association has achieved many remarkable achievements such as: 01 Bronze Medal of Vietnam Art Photography Contest; 01 C Prize of National Excellent Photography Award; 02 Silver Medals, 01 Bronze Medal of Mekong Delta Art Photography Festival; 01 Silver Cup of Ho Chi Minh City; 01 HOPA International Bronze Medal; 01 People's Television Award; 04 First Prizes, 07 Second Prizes, 06 Third Prizes of the province; 02 A Prizes organized by the Ministry of Public Security. In addition, the Association has many photographic works exhibited in the Region, nationwide, internationally and specialized awards at the Central and local levels.

The Executive Committee for the 2024 - 2029 term was introduced to the Congress.

Orienting activities for the 2024 - 2029 term, Ben Tre Branch advocates promoting the organization of branch activities, creative activities and participation in competitions and training and development. In addition, the Branch also sets out directions for recruiting members, striving to recruit 02 new members during the term.

The Branch Congress elected an Executive Committee of 03 delegates. Artist Huynh Thanh Phong was re-elected as Branch President. The Vice Presidents of the Branch included two members: Artist Nguyen Van Dua and Artist Nguyen Trung Hieu.
