On the morning of September 23, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee opened the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030.
Attending the Congress were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense attended and directed the Congress.
In his speech at the Congress, General Phan Van Giang suggested that the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee should correctly perceive the situation, clearly identify the potential and advantages of the locality to select key tasks, breakthroughs, and create new changes in socio-economic development. The province should focus on planning, planning management, and strengthening regional connectivity, promoting its role as the center of the midland and mountainous regions of the North.
At the same time, the province needs to link economic development with solving social issues, improving people's lives, ensuring national defense and security, building a government, great national unity bloc and a clean and strong Party organization in all aspects; continue to strictly implement the Central Resolutions, Conclusions and Regulations on Party building and rectification.
The Congress also announced the Politburo's decisions. Accordingly, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, term I, 2025-2030, consists of 65 members. Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, holds the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
