The 6th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, term 2024-2029, was a great success.

On the afternoon of August 2, the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province solemnly held the 6th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, term 2024-2029.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phung Khanh Tai presented the Congress with flowers and a banner from the Provincial Party Committee with the words "Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho Province - Solidarity - Creativity - Aspiration - Development".

Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Phung Khanh Tai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly Delegation of the province; leaders of departments, branches, unions, districts, cities and towns. On the side of the Central Youth Union - Central Youth Union, there were comrades Ngo Van Cuong - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Youth Union's Inspection Committee ; Nguyen Kim Quy - Head of the Central Youth Union's Solidarity Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union.

With the slogan of action "Youth of the Homeland: Solidarity - Creativity - Aspiration - Development", this is an important political event, a great festival of the youth of the whole province to evaluate the results of the implementation of all aspects of work in the 2019-2024 term and decide on important issues of the Association's work and youth movement in the next 5 years.

In the past term, with the spirit of bravery, initiative and volunteerism of the youth, the work of the Association and the provincial youth movement has achieved many important results, contributing to the comprehensive achievements of the province. The work of building and consolidating the Vietnam Youth Federation continues to develop in both scale and quality. The methods and forms of implementation of the Association at all levels are increasingly diverse, the content gradually close to the needs and aspirations of the youth and the practical situation at the grassroots level.

During the 2019 - 2024 term, 8/8 targets of the term were achieved and exceeded. The movement "I love my Fatherland" was widely deployed, 5,916 youth works in the province were built and inaugurated. The whole province established 51 volunteer teams, built and presented 42 charity houses, red scarf houses to students, families in difficult circumstances, 1,250 gratitude activities, remembering the source of water. The association at all levels provided career counseling to 85,332 members, 6,015 young people were employed; supported 34 start-up projects for young people with a total capital of over 3 billion VND.

Speaking at the Congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phung Khanh Tai and Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy highly appreciated the results achieved by the Provincial Youth Union at all levels in the past term.

To further promote the strength and potential of Phu Tho province's youth in socio-economic development and national defense, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that all levels of the Youth Union pay attention to propaganda and education work, innovate youth education methods, and continue to effectively implement "studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle".

Strengthen solidarity, widely gather all classes of youth, ensure high unity in ideology and action; promote the launching and effective and practical organization among youth classes of patriotic emulation movements launched by the Central and the province; further strengthen activities to accompany, care for, support and help youth; motivate and encourage youth to actively study, conduct scientific research, improve qualifications, improve skills...

Build a politically, ideologically and organizationally strong provincial Youth Union, truly the broadest social organization of youth; improve the quality of organization and operation of grassroots Unions, diversify appropriate forms and types to attract and gather all youth groups to participate.

Overview of the Congress.

The Union at all levels needs to constantly strive and innovate its content and methods of operation to meet the requirements of revolutionary tasks and the legitimate interests of the youth. Focus on building and fostering a team of cadres at the grassroots level, especially in branches, teams, groups, and clubs according to each type of activity, building a team of dedicated, capable, knowledgeable, and skilled cadres to organize and mobilize the youth.

On this occasion, Comrade Phung Khanh Tai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, presented the Congress with a beautiful flower basket and a banner from the Provincial Party Committee with the words "Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho Province - Solidarity - Creativity - Aspiration - Development".

The Congress introduced the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, term VI, 2024-2029, consisting of 43 members; Mr. Bui Duc Giang was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, term VI; 13 members were selected to attend the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024-2029.

At the Congress, 2 collectives and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Association and youth movement for the 2019-2024 term were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union; 3 collectives and 1 individual were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the People's Committee of Phu Tho province.
