Reporting at the conference, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Tho Sinh - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command said that in 2024, Binh Thuan was assigned to select 1,751 citizens to join the army and provincial police, an increase of 114 citizens compared to 2023. Implementing the assigned targets, sectors and localities have focused on implementing military recruitment work to ensure strict compliance with the law and prescribed time. As a result, the province completed 100% of the military recruitment targets at all 3 levels, without compensation, the quality of citizens enlisted in the army has basically been improved. Official party members joining the army increased by 0.15%, health type 1, type 2 increased by 0.28%, citizens with high school education increased by 0.57%, intermediate, college and university levels increased by 0.35%, ethnic minorities increased by 0.19%; children of officials increased by 0.02%. The military camp and military enlistment ceremony were held solemnly, meaningfully, safely and economically.

In addition to the results achieved, the conference pointed out some limitations and difficulties in military recruitment such as: there are still errors in the medical examination for military service, so in some cases, after re-examination, 3 cases had to be adjusted. The propaganda and dissemination of laws on military service and public security service have not been regular, and job creation for citizens after completing military service is still difficult.

In his speech, Comrade Doan Anh Dung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts and results achieved in military recruitment. To overcome the shortcomings and at the same time, to effectively carry out the military recruitment in 2025, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested members of the Provincial Military Service Council, the People's Committee, and the District Military Service Council to direct the strengthening of propaganda, education , and mobilization of people and families with citizens of military age. Implement uniformly the military recruitment process and the "3 together" criteria (same review council, same medical examination council, same organization of 1-day military transfer), in which it is necessary to ensure the stages and steps in accordance with the regulations in military recruitment, ensuring fairness, democracy, publicity, creating high consensus among the people. At the same time, do a good job of military rear policy work for citizens joining the army and discharged soldiers according to regulations.

“Do not allow those who do not meet the requirements to join the army or citizens who meet the requirements in terms of education and health but avoid performing their duties. In military recruitment, it is necessary to ensure that all wards, communes and towns have citizens to join the army with the motto "whoever is recruited is sure to be recruited". Priority should be given to citizens who are talented in organizing movements, and priority should be given to ethnic minorities to join the army to contribute to creating a source of grassroots cadres for mountainous communes and ethnic minority areas" - Comrade Doan Anh Dung noted.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also directed the relevant agencies to coordinate and strictly handle organizations and individuals who intentionally violate the provisions of the law, especially acts of harassment, negativity, and difficulties in military recruitment; not to allow the emergence of petitions, complaints, denunciations, and the situation of resisting health examination orders and military conscription orders. Timely detect and effectively combat acts of propaganda, distortion, and sabotage by hostile and reactionary forces; and bad elements related to military recruitment.
