Professional training in medical appraisal

On September 11-12, the Department of Health of Ca Mau coordinated with the Institute of Medical Assessment (Bach Mai Hospital) to organize a training course on professional training and medical assessment according to the standards of assessors. More than 150 doctors with practice certificates working at public health facilities who are assessors, expected to be appointed assessors of the Medical Assessment Council at all levels and doctors performing medical assessment attended.

Attending and opening the training course were Dr. Tran Quang Khoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Health , Chairman of the Provincial Medical Examination Council; Dr. Hoang Minh Thuy - Director of the Medical Examination Institute, Vice Chairman of the Central Medical Examination Council I; and Dr. Pham Thai Ha - Deputy Director of the Medical Examination Institute, Standing Member of the Central Medical Examination Council I.

At the course, experts from the Institute of Medical Assessment introduced the core contents of medical assessment work, including: medical assessment procedures, principles of assessing the extent of bodily injury due to injury, illness and occupational diseases; Instructions on the application of relevant legal documents such as: Joint Circular No. 28/2013/TTLT-BYT-BLDTBXH regulating bodily injury, illness and disease; Circular No. 15/20216/TT-BYT regulating occupational diseases covered by social insurance; Circular No. 02/2023/TT-BYT supplementing a number of articles of Circular 15/2016/TT-BYT...

Through the training course, trainees will consolidate their knowledge, update legal documents, and improve their appraisal skills. This is the basis for improving the capacity and effectiveness of medical appraisal activities, while meeting the standards of appraisers according to Circular No. 01/2023/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health .

Speaking at the training course, Dr. Tran Quang Khoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Ca Mau province, Chairman of the Provincial Medical Assessment Council emphasized: Medical assessment plays a very important role in social life, contributing to protecting the legitimate rights of workers, participants of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and other policies according to the law. This is also a scientific and objective basis for management agencies, insurance agencies and related organizations and individuals to implement social security policies in a fair, transparent and effective manner.
