Put Covid-19 in history!

When it comes to Covid-19, no one can forget the days when darkness and despair called the coronavirus covered every aspect of social life.

From the first cases of infection in Wuhan, China, we anxiously watched and assessed the severity of the virus in late 2019, to the world struggling to survive the pandemic. From people isolating themselves from society to avoid infection, to the bustling and safe society that we see today.

Humanity has gone through three years of the pandemic with immeasurable pain and loss and has overcome that disaster in a spectacular way. Each country and territory in the world, in its own way, combined the experience of "looking at each other to fight the epidemic" and turned it into action to save its country. Vietnam is no exception.

The Covid-19 pandemic has ended, the tasks have ended, and the role of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has gone down in history.

Speaking at the national online meeting on the morning of October 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh spent a lot of time analyzing, evaluating, drawing many lessons, praising the efforts of anti-epidemic forces..., including the significant and extremely important contributions of the press agencies, state and social media forces.

Together with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Health, ministries, branches, and localities, the Ministry of Information and Communications and press agencies have gone through more than three years of anti-epidemic communication, with many emotions, many invaluable experiences, many lessons learned in leadership and direction as well as in operations...

When someone does something, especially for the first time, no matter how successful it is, it is inevitable that there will be mistakes. The important thing is that through this, they can extract lessons for similar things that may happen in the future.

Covid-19 is no different. It is painful in many ways, but - on the bright side - it is a useful rehearsal for Vietnam in particular and the world in general to prepare for a future with new and unpredictable developments.

As the Prime Minister shared, “we have the right to be proud of our contributions to the common cause and carry with us unforgettable memories of the national fight against this epidemic.”

Only after going through rainy days can we appreciate sunny days. Only after going through a pandemic can we appreciate the days when we don't have to struggle to survive.

Let's rest assured that the Covid-19 pandemic will be consigned to history forever! Let's cherish the simple yet precious things that the pandemic has helped us realize in this life.
