Loving arms support orphaned students in Dat Mui commune

On the morning of September 4, the Women's Union of Dat Mui commune coordinated with Dat Mui Border Guard Station to organize the awarding of scholarships and gifts to orphaned students in the area, in order to promptly encourage and support them to confidently go to school in the new school year.

At the awarding ceremony, the Commune Women's Union sent their regards, encouraged the spirit and awarded 2 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND along with school supplies to 2 orphaned students in Xeo Mam hamlet. Previously, the Association also awarded 3 scholarships to orphans due to the Covid-19 epidemic .

Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Kieu, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Women's Union of Dat Mui Commune, said: The Union always pays attention to and reviews the list of students with especially difficult circumstances, poor and near-poor students to promptly support school bags, books, bicycles, health insurance, etc. Thereby, encouraging them to continue going to school, with the determination of "not letting students drop out of school halfway". The Union also maintains the "Godmother" program, accompanying orphans to school on the occasion of the opening ceremony, giving them more motivation to study.
