Speeding up the progress of Aeon Mall Commercial Center Project and connecting infrastructure

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - The Aeon Mall project in Quang Phu ward is considered a key, large-scale project, of great significance in promoting the socio-economic development of the province. Up to now, the project has reached about 40% of the workload and is expected to be fully completed in October 2026.

However, for the Project of Connecting Traffic System and Technical Infrastructure outside the project, before the end of operation, Thanh Hoa City People's Committee has not completed the documents and procedures for construction, which is very slow. Quang Phu Ward People's Committee has not completed the documents and procedures for construction due to lack of qualified human resources to meet the requirements when implementing 2-level local government.

To overcome this situation, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, gave important instructions after a working session with relevant departments, branches and units on August 15, 2025. Accordingly, the provincial leaders directed the study of transferring the investor of the infrastructure project from the People's Committee of Quang Phu Ward to the Dong Son Area Investment and Construction Project Management Board. The Department of Finance was assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to urgently advise on this transfer and report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee no later than August 25, 2025.

At the same time, the People's Committee of Quang Phu Ward was assigned to urgently review the procedures and documents related to site clearance, concentrate human resources to arrange resettlement according to regulations and complete the handover of clean site to the investor no later than October 31, 2025. After being assigned the task, the Dong Son Project Management Board must complete the entire infrastructure project no later than January 2026.

For the Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa Commercial Center Project, AeonMall Vietnam Co., Ltd. focuses all resources to speed up construction progress, ensure absolute labor safety, environmental sanitation and synchronize the common technical infrastructure of the entire Project. The Company needs to specifically propose the locations of intersections, traffic lights, and signs to ensure smooth and safe traffic when the project is in operation. Regarding electricity supply, the Company must have a document proposing the electricity usage roadmap for phase 2 with a capacity of about 10MBA.

In particular, AeonMall Vietnam Company is required to have a policy of prioritizing the recruitment of local workers, especially workers from households affected by the project implementation. The Company also needs to propose organizing conferences to promote and connect the supply and demand of goods in the province to meet the quality requirements of the AeonMall system chain, creating opportunities for local businesses to access the market...
