De Gea says goodbye to Man Utd

Man Utd posted a clip saying goodbye to De Gea.

" I would like to send this farewell message to all Manchester United fans. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the love over the past 12 years. We have achieved so much since my beloved Sir Alex Ferguson brought me to the club.

I am extremely proud every time I wear this shirt, to manage the team, the biggest club in the world , it is an honor only given to a lucky few players. It has been an unforgettable and successful time.

"When I left Madrid as a young boy, I didn't think I would achieve what I have today. Now, this is the right time to look for a new challenge, to push myself again in a new environment. Manchester will always be in my heart, Manchester has shaped me and will never leave me," David de Gea wrote on his personal social media account.

De Gea joined Man Utd in 2011, one of the last notable contracts of Coach Ferguson with Man Utd. He and the Red Devils of Manchester won 1 Premier League championship, 1 FA Cup championship, 1 Europa League championship, 2 Carabao Cup championships, 3 Community Shield championships. De Gea was in the typical team 5 times and won the Premier League golden glove twice.

The Spanish goalkeeper decided to leave Man Utd when the contract renewal process encountered problems. Initially, this goalkeeper reached an agreement to stay at Old Trafford, accepting a pay cut, but the team's leadership changed their mind. They offered an even lower salary. De Gea's position at Man Utd is also not guaranteed if he stays.
