On the afternoon of July 22, Ho Chi Minh City National University and CT Group Corporation signed a long-term sponsorship cooperation agreement worth 100 billion VND for 10 years to promote high technology and attract talent - an event marking a new development step in the relationship between schools and businesses.

Billion-dollar sponsorship

According to the agreement, CT Group will sponsor 10 billion VND per year for student support activities and human resource development programs at VNU-HCM in the 2025-2035 period.

Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Director of VNU-HCM, presented a souvenir to Mr. Tran Kim Chung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CT Group.

The funding is allocated to cover tuition fees for postgraduate students in high-tech fields, support interest on student loans under the school credit program, maintain shared kitchens in dormitories and provide scholarships for students.

In addition, the program also flexibly expands support according to practical needs agreed upon by both parties, creating maximum conditions for learners to feel secure in studying and developing comprehensively in an intensive academic environment.

In particular, the two sides agreed to implement the "VNU350-CT Global Fellowship for Innovation" Program - a program to attract, retain and develop outstanding young scientists and leading scientists of VNU-HCM with salary funding from CT Group for scientists participating in joint cooperation projects.

The income of each expert is determined by field and level, ensuring enough to cover living and research expenses. At the same time, VNU-HCM commits to creating conditions for scientists to participate in research, teaching and technology transfer in the strongly developing academic-technological ecosystem.

Towards future technology fields

The two sides will cooperate extensively in research and development of semiconductor microchip technology and quantum technology.

In the 2025-2030 period, priority projects include the development of edge artificial intelligence chips, large power amplifier chips, general-purpose 32-bit control chips, and communication modules for IoT and UAVs.

In the field of quantum technology, VNU-HCM and CT Group cooperate to build quantum computing infrastructure, train specialized human resources, develop quantum algorithms, simulate materials, quantum AI and applications in communications, medicine, and clean energy.

In addition, the "Three-house" cooperation model (State, School and Enterprise) was particularly emphasized by both sides as an important driving force to promote innovation and national technology development.
