One of the young officers of the Con Roang Border Guard Station who "when they leave, the people miss them, when they stay, the people love them" is Senior Lieutenant Pham The Son (born in 1995), Captain of the Mass Mobilization Team, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union.

"Four together" with compatriots

When mentioning Senior Lieutenant Pham The Son, the Ma Coong people of Ca Roong, Con Roang, Cu Ton, Cooc villages... all said: "Soldier Son is very good!". Con Roang village chief Dinh Doong said: "The village has 62 households, 265 people. In recent years, thanks to the Con Roang Border Post stationed near the village, thanks to cadres like soldier Son coming to the village to "shake hands and show the work", mobilizing people to build a clean and beautiful village; focusing on developing livestock; participating in protecting heritage forests... the people's lives have gradually stabilized, there are no more hungry households".

To better implement the "four together" of eating, living, working, and speaking the same language with the people, starting from his position of being close to the people, Senior Lieutenant Pham The Son boldly advised the Party Committee, the Station Command; local Party committees and authorities to successfully organize 21 "Border Lessons" programs with over 5,000 students, teachers, and people participating. Through each lesson, the Border Law was introduced to the people of the border area; about territorial sovereignty , borders, and national border markers; about the heroic historical traditions of the nation, the Army, and the Border Guard; and mobilized and encouraged 540 students of the people to return to school.

The officers of the Mass Mobilization Team of Senior Lieutenant Pham The Son coordinated with other working units at Con Roang Border Post to strengthen their grip on the base, both "hands-on" to help people develop the economy and step up propaganda work to raise vigilance, resolutely fight to defeat the plots and tricks of hostile forces that take advantage of ethnic issues to cause political instability at the base. Although the lives of Ma Coong people in Thuong Trach border commune have changed a lot in recent years, they are still very difficult overall. During the process of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and over 10 years of implementing the emulation movement "Quang Binh Youth Study and Follow the Example of General Vo Nguyen Giap", Senior Lieutenant Pham The Son is one of 10 outstanding faces with outstanding achievements honored by the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee.

The programs "Winter-Spring Volunteer", "Youth Month", "March Border Month", "Summer Volunteer Youth" campaign, "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday"... coordinated and implemented by the youth of Con Roang Border Post have attracted a large number of young people, philanthropists, and people in the province and the whole country to respond and participate, focusing on building many economic models to help people. Notably, the model of growing vegetables, tubers, and fruits in Cooc and Cu Ton villages, with an area of ​​800m2; helping Con Roang village take care of 54 hectares of replacement forests; developing 10 pig farming models with good results; donating 14 breeding cows to households in especially difficult circumstances... worth more than 140 million VND.

Or coordinate with the Provincial Youth Union to build the project "Border Light" in Con Roang village worth over 100 million VND; together with Border Guard Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper organize the program "For the beloved border" worth 140 million VND; mobilize volunteer groups to give 263 gifts to households and 464 gifts, 44 bicycles to students, worth over 400 million VND...
