Different from the ghostly, deserted look before, Thuy Tien Lake Water Park has been given a new look with a long paved road surrounding the poetic lake. In the giant dragon area, broken glass and weeds have also been cleaned and cleared.
Mr. Le Van Thai (35 years old, resident of Thuan An Ward, Thuan Hoa District, Hue City) expressed his surprise at the spaciousness and poetic beauty of this magical park after many years of returning. "The environment here is very clean, the roads are beautifully and neatly arranged. The lake surface is green, 2 paved walking paths, and the street lights will turn this place into an ideal destination in the near future," said Mr. Thai.

That is the result of the project to renovate Thuy Tien Lake Park, invested by Thua Thien - Hue Green Park Center (now Thuan Hoa District Green Park Center).
The project started construction in August 2024, with phase 1 having a total investment of about 20 billion VND. Up to now, all roads in the park, more than 2 km long, have been paved with anti-slip stones. In addition, the project also installed a lighting system with 68 lamps on the road to serve tourists walking at night, invested in drainage and water supply systems...

Mr. Duong Quang Hien, Deputy Director of Thuan Hoa District Green Park Center, said that up to this point, the project's construction volume has reached about 75%. After completing phase 1, phase 2 of the project will continue to invest in items around the stone dragon, with a total additional cost of nearly 14 billion VND.
Currently, this unit is continuing to survey the location to plan the construction of a camping, picnic, bicycle rental service point... at Thuy Thien Lake. Turning this place into an ideal tourist destination.
The leaders of Thuan Hoa District Green Park Center believe that the re-investment in Thuy Tien Lake Park, in addition to serving the community, will also improve the landscape of this area, upgrade new breakthrough functions for Thuy Tien Lake, and be a driving force to attract tourists to Hue.

Thuy Tien Lake Water Park was invested in construction since 2004, on an area of about 20 hectares of land in Thuy Bang Ward (Thuan Hoa District, Hue City) with the goal of turning this place into a modern entertainment and recreation area with a total cost of more than 70 billion VND.
However, due to unfinished investment, this place could not be put into operation, abandoned for many years. Also thanks to the ghostly nature, this park becomes more curious to tourists, especially foreign tourists.
In 2016, this address suddenly appeared in famous newspapers such as the US Huffington Post; the newspaper of the US television channel CNN put the lake in the list of 10 world- famous amusement parks that are enchantingly beautiful, but have been "closed forever"... Thuy Tien Lake also appeared in international music videos and is also a "check-in" address considered "not to be missed" by many foreign tourists when coming to Hue.
