Provincial fire fighting plan drill in 2024 at VSIP Industrial Park

On the morning of June 13, at Everwin Dormitory, VSip Nghe An Industrial Park, the Provincial People's Committee organized a firefighting and rescue drill in 2024.

Attending the rehearsal were comrades Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Fire Prevention and Rescue Steering Committee; Major General Bui Quang Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police.

Speaking at the opening of the drill, the Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Fire Prevention and Rescue emphasized: Along with the development of the socio -economy and urbanization, the rapid increase of commercial centers, urban areas, industrial parks, and high-rise buildings has led to potential high risks of fire and explosion.

Therefore, practicing fire fighting plans is extremely important to be proactive in fire prevention and fighting, enhancing the standing capacity and readiness to handle fires and explosions of the forces, contributing to the success in preventing large fires, minimizing damage to people and property.

Hypothetical situation at the drill: A hypothetical fire broke out at Everwin Dormitory in VSIP Industrial Park.

At the scene, the situation arose, at 0:45 on September 13, from an electrical short circuit of an electric vehicle charging on the first floor of Everwin Dormitory causing a fire.

The forces used specialized vehicles, rescue ladders, and pipes to rescue people on high floors.

The fire fighting force did not detect the fire in time. In addition, the automatic fire alarm system and automatic fire extinguishing system were under repair, causing the fire to grow larger and toxic smoke quickly engulfed most of the corridors, stairs, and escape routes. When the incident occurred, there were more than 600 people living in the dormitory.

Simulated situation at the drill: On-site forces quickly extinguished the fire outbreak.

After detecting the fire, the local forces mobilized people and vehicles to initially extinguish the fire and at the same time reported to the professional fire police force. After receiving the news, the Provincial Fire Prevention and Rescue Steering Committee mobilized a force of up to 500 people from units of Nghe An Provincial Police, Vinh International Airport, Hung Nguyen Medical Center, Hung Nguyen Electricity, Cau Bach Water Plant and grassroots forces along with more than 30 vehicles and equipment to organize evacuation instructions, search for victims and provide first aid, organize synchronous fire fighting and rescue work, traffic regulation, ensure security...

The workers were quickly taken out of the fire by rescue forces.

Seriously injured cases were quickly taken to the ambulance.

After nearly 30 minutes of handling, the fire was completely extinguished, ensuring absolute safety for people and minimizing damage to the business.
