Chairing the meeting were Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Duong Van Phuoc and National Assembly delegate Dang Thi Bao Trinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union.

This is the final consultation conference with the participation of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, localities, the Provincial Lawyers Association... to participate in discussions and submit to the National Assembly for approval at the upcoming 8th session.

At the conference, delegates contributed comments on key issues such as: Law title; concept of new urban areas and planning for new urban areas; community consultation; cases of general planning, zoning planning, detailed planning; allowing simultaneous preparation of general plans; decentralization of authority to approve planning tasks, urban and rural planning; conformity with related plans...

This draft Law (final draft dated September 9, 2024) has 6 Chapters and 66 Articles. The content of the draft Law refers to 3 major policies, which are: Completing regulations on the urban and rural planning system; Completing regulations on the establishment, appraisal, approval, review and adjustment of urban and rural planning; Completing regulations on the selection of planning consultancy organizations, funding sources and other relevant regulations to improve the quality and feasibility of urban and rural planning, the right to access and provide information on urban and rural planning.

On behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Duong Van Phuoc highly appreciated the opinions contributed by delegates at the conference, including many in-depth analysis of practical problems that need to be considered and added to the draft law.

The representative of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation said that they will record and fully absorb opinions, synthesize reports to the National Assembly Standing Committee to review and complete the draft Law on Urban and Rural Planning.
