Railway transport revenue is expected to reach VND4,700 billion in 2025

Railway Transport Joint Stock Company sets a revenue target of more than VND4,700 billion, growing 8% in 2025.

To achieve this plan, in addition to maintaining quality and focusing on innovation and improving the quality of the effective transport products currently being exploited, this enterprise will continue to launch new products and improve the quality of passenger service.

Accordingly, upgrading carriages for high-quality passenger trains on the Hanoi - Hai Phong and Hanoi - Lao Cai routes; Promoting the exploitation of charter trains (full trains)...

Regarding freight transport, increase international intermodal transport, especially on the Dong Dang route; Increase the number of express container trains. Invest in building 100-150 new 45-foot container wagons, and invest in large-volume 45-foot container shells to increase the proportion of container transport...

Previously, in 2024, the company's transportation revenue reached more than VND 4,357 billion; after-tax profit was nearly VND 128 billion.

Particularly in the last two months of 11 and 12/2024, since this enterprise officially operated on the basis of merging Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company and Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, the total consolidated revenue reached more than 682 billion VND; Profit reached more than 1.3 billion VND.

Transport revenue was over VND 594 billion, exceeding the plan by 6% and equal to 114% compared to the same period in 2023. Of which: Passenger ship revenue was over VND 304 billion, exceeding the plan by nearly 4% and equal to 115% compared to the same period; cargo ship revenue was nearly VND 283 billion, exceeding the plan by nearly 9% and equal to 112% compared to the same period.

Many outstanding passenger transport products such as: Train pairs HD1/2, HD3/4 named "Central Heritage Journey" Hue - Da Nang section; high-quality train SE22/SE21 Saigon - Da Nang section with many amenities such as free wifi system, Flyfood meals, 180-degree rotating seats, hiring professional cleaning service to go on the train; high-quality tourist train on the Da Lat - Trai Mat railway line...

Freight transport output of many cargo flows increased. Typically, apatite transport output increased by 19%, revenue increased by 11%; international intermodal freight flow output increased by 22%, revenue increased by 38% compared to the same period in 2023.
