Nguyen Phuong Anh was the one who opened the score for the Vietnamese women's futsal team very early. Right in the 2nd minute, from a sideline kick, Le Thi Thanh Ngan passed the ball to Phuong Anh to make a decisive left-footed shot, putting the Vietnamese women's futsal team ahead 1-0.

In the second half, the Vietnamese women's futsal team continued to put pressure on the opponent to continue looking for goals. In turn, Le Thi Thanh Ngan (minute 23), K'Thua (minute 26), Tran Nguyet Vi (minute 28), Tran Thi Thuy Trang (minutes 28, 34), Nguyen Thi Tu Anh (minutes 31, 32, 38).

In the end, the Vietnamese women's futsal team beat Macau with a resounding 21-0 score. The Vietnamese player who scored the most goals in this match was Nguyen Thi Tu Anh, with 4 goals. Tran Thi Thuy Trang, Nguyen Phuong Anh and Tran Thi Thu Xuan all scored hat-tricks.

Vietnam's big win also surpassed Taiwan's previous win. On January 15, Taiwan beat Macau 18-0.

With this victory, the Vietnamese women's futsal team has advanced to the final round of the 2025 Asian women's futsal tournament. In the final match of Group D, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will face the Taiwanese women's futsal team at 2:30 p.m. on January 19.

The 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship Qualifiers kick off on January 11, 2025, with 18 teams competing. Three teams are exempted from the qualifying round, including the host of the final round - China, and the two finalists of the previous tournament, Japan and Iran.

The 18 teams are divided into four groups, including two groups of four teams (groups B and D), and two groups of five teams (groups A and C). Group A will be played centrally in Thailand, group B in Indonesia, group C in Uzbekistan, and group D in Myanmar. After the qualifying round, each group will select the first and second teams to participate in the final round. Along with that, the third-placed team with the best results will participate in the final round taking place in May 2025.
