Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh emphasized: Our Party and State always pay special attention to leading and directing the issuance of many practical and effective policies and guidelines on gratitude work. Most recently, the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 142 dated June 29, 2024, accordingly, on July 1, 2024, the Government issued Decree No. 77 adjusting the standard level of preferential allowance for people with meritorious services to the revolution from VND 2,055,000 to VND 2,789,000 (an increase of 35.7%). This is the highest increase in the standard level of preferential allowance adjustments for people with meritorious services to the revolution in the past 20 years, contributing to improving and enhancing the lives of people with meritorious services to the revolution and their relatives. And most recently, the DNA gene bank for martyrs and relatives of martyrs whose information has not been identified has been launched with the goal that by 2030, there will be about 20,000 samples of martyrs' remains with the identity of martyrs' remains identified by DNA identification method; striving to verify and conclude 60% of martyrs' graves with missing information in martyrs' cemeteries by empirical methods, thereby responding to the hope that in the near future, martyrs who have died and sacrificed for the cause of protecting the Fatherland will be gathered and their identities determined.

In the coming time, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh suggested that the province continue to well implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, further promote the work of caring for war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution, focusing on: Thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Directive No. 14 of the Central Party Secretariat on continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership over the work of people with meritorious services to the revolution, the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services to the revolution; Coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to effectively implement Decision No. 1007 dated August 30, 2023 of the Prime Minister on approving the planning of the network of social facilities to nurture and care for people with revolutionary contributions; ensure timeliness and effectiveness, so that people with revolutionary contributions and their families have a fairly good standard of living in the area.

Strengthen propaganda and education, especially for the young generation, about the heroic history of the nation's struggle. Pay attention to doing a good job of coordinating the search, collection and identification of martyrs' remains with missing information according to the direction of the Central Government. Strengthen the attraction of social resources, carry out well the "Repaying gratitude" movements such as: Building "Houses of gratitude", "Repaying gratitude" Fund, giving "Savings books of gratitude", supporting Vietnamese heroic mothers, helping families and relatives of martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, people with meritorious services...; contribute to compensating for the disadvantages of people with meritorious services and families of people with meritorious services to the revolution, also carry out the tasks of socio-economic development to ensure security, national defense, build and consolidate the great national unity bloc.

Up to now, the province has over 98% of households with meritorious services with a standard of living equal to or higher than the average standard of living of the people in the place of residence and 100% of communes, wards and towns have done a good job in the work of people with meritorious services to the revolution.

The Provincial Party Secretary also affirmed: The Party Committee, government and people in the province have been and will continue to pay attention with specific actions, giving the best feelings to show gratitude, compensate for the losses, sacrifices and contributions of people with meritorious services in the struggles for national liberation, protecting the independence and freedom of the Fatherland with the goal of striving by the end of 2024, 100% of households with meritorious services have a standard of living equal to or higher than the average standard of living of the residential community; relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services are fully and promptly entitled to all preferential regimes and policies of the Party and State, completing the support to improve housing for people with meritorious services; continuing to promote the movement of the whole people to care for people with meritorious services in the province.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Provincial Party Secretary respectfully thanked Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, for always paying attention to and directing the development of Ninh Binh province in general and for her spiritual and material support for families of people with meritorious services to the revolution in the province.
