Energizing Gia Loc 220kV transformer station and connecting lines

At 8:00 p.m. on October 13, the National Power Transmission Corporation and the Northern Power Project Management Board coordinated to energize the Gia Loc 220kV transformer station and connecting lines.

The Gia Loc 220kV Transformer Station Project and connecting lines are invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation, managed and operated by the Northern Power Project Management Board; and operated by Power Transmission Company 1.

Gia Loc 220kV transformer station is built in Gia Loc commune. The 220kV connection line passes through Gia Loc commune and Thach Khoi ward. The project has a scale of building Gia Loc 220kV transformer station with 3 transformers with a total capacity of 750 MVA; in this phase, 2 transformers with a total capacity of 500 MVA will be installed.

The 220kV side has 16 bays, in this phase equipment is installed for 8 bays; reserve locations for 8 bays. The 110kV side has 24 bays, in this phase equipment is installed for 14 bays; reserve locations for 10 bays. The 35kV side is connected to the local grid to supply electricity for self-use. The control, protection and measurement, communication and SCADA systems are equipped in accordance with the regulations of Vietnam Electricity Group.

The connection line section, construction of 220kV line includes 4 circuits from Gia Loc 220kV transformer station connecting to 2 circuits of Hai Duong - Pho Noi 220kV line, the line length is about 5.37 km.

The project, when put into use, will provide stable electricity for the loads of Hai Phong city; meet the needs of socio -economic development of Hai Phong city and neighboring areas. Reduce the load for existing 220kV transformer stations in Hai Phong city and neighboring provinces, improve the safety of power supply to the regional grid.
